Hey Guys. I am wondering what happened to Seyran Ohanian? He was relieved of his duties as defense minister, and I thought the reason behind it was for him to become the CSTO leader. Do you guys have any info on what actually happened and why ?

CSTO assigned some new Russian as their Secretary.
As for Seyran, he's running for elections in April. My guess is he wanted (or expected) to be Prime Minister when Aprahamyan's government resigned, but that didn't happen.
That should be the reason behind him running against the Hanrabedakans. Or it's just made up so that HHK gets votes.

Seyran Ohanian is now head of the operational military aspect as far as I know.
Looks like this latest govt shake up threw Seyran out of top military post because of corruption in financial conduct (But) kept him in his most useful role ... Insightful military leader. As far as I know, the new defense minister is in complete control of the $$$ and Seyran is still doing what he does best.

Last I heard about him, it transpires he allowed one of his top generals to run a bakery and part time defence minister of Karabagh.

Now he wants to go into politics.

I remember on an occasion when he was swanning around the Karabagh trenches he was promising one of the squaddies to pay his wedding costs. Cringing staff.

PS Sorry for being harsh. ( on second though I am not sorry.)
              Public duty is commitment.
Its voluntary and sacrifice part of the deal. In return you get honours and respect.
              No forgiveness if you fail.
Others doing it also is never an excuse. I wish and pray their judgement will come also.

              .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
