That is my biggest complaint with our military, a lot of these weapons are from the 70s and these 70s are badly outdated almost half a century old, yes I understand our military is efficient in terms of budgeting but we should really learn to classify our military as *modern* our most modern military is from the 90s and 2000's but most of the military is in bad shape and in need of modernization, our land forces are a complete joke with the best tank a fu**ing T-72B (which is 30 years old now) and our artillery should literally belong to a museum some were used in ww2 for god sake, and most of our infantry (especially in Artsakh) is poorly equipped, not having knee caps, goggles, proper vests and sufficient web gears, we can have the most brilliant generals and the best sharp shooters in the region but if our enemy is much better equipped in warfare there is no excuse, we will be out matched even if our enemy is badly incompetent, we should take this more seriously and not ignore or deny it our government needs to learn quantity over quality. Our military is slowly becoming north Korea large but outdated and the country very militaristic.

But thankfully most of our weapons old but some of the best guns out there even the 60 year old AK-47 is pure gold, seriously where did the Russian military go they used to have some of the most cheap and easy and reliable weaponry in history and even today they are fine examples of military warfare compared some literally while today Russia is starting to go for the bloated and expensive western weaponry compared to its past.

              Very, very impressive.
Its so small and mobile, yet very much modernized. Gun +IGLA. Predicts flying object teajectory and indicates sight adjustment plus night or thermo vision.
Tow it behind a SUV and stick it in every kind of unexpected places, like next to trees, small ditches, next yo walls or buildings and block any helicopters, drones or low flying aircraft.
I think the electronics can make it possible for this little Toys to hit aircraft at much higher altidute then expected because with conventional sight operator has to guess the trajectory of an aircraft (impossible task since all, altidute and speed are guessed) and aim at a point where the projectile from your gun will meet the flying object, electronics can do it in split seconds and very precise.
We all have seen videos of aircraft above while several operators shooting thousands of rounds and never hitting it.
I think with the price of one pantsir S1 we can get several of this Polish ZU-23s, that is if they sell to us.
Those are specially suited to our topography. Pantsirs are large 18 wheeler size trucks that in our mountains can't go too far from roads and can be tracked by counter measures.
But ZU-23 looks small enough to be towed by 4 wheller to very unexpected and key spots up the mountains, between rocks etc.

Yes, you can even sprinkle them across the country side like you said behind trees and bushes. Operate them via landlines from a centralized station.
