Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

It is well known fact that air superiority wins wars....since Armenia is limited offensively in that capacity it must do it the hard way (defensively). As territory is taken, air defense systems must be moved in.

Our Coat of Arms has a lion and an eagle.....may the day come soon that our Eagle claims back his airspace (Armenian Highlands).

I'm all for liberating more land, but this is not how you do it. This is fantasy.
Iran would love to see a longer more viable border with Armenia and removal of danger from an attack by US/Israel from Azeri territory as a bonus....as long as fighting doesn't spell into its land.
Turkey will support Azerbaijan with weapons and logistics but no real troops at the end of the day, maybe special forces under the table.

This is a win win deal for Russia. Not only the Georgian problem will be solved but also the attempts of the West to get a foothold in the region will be crushed.

BTW, Russian Iranian relations is very important to Armenia......a political card.

A win win deal for russia would be a tighter relation with over 72 million populated country. The more than 72 million populated country has more potential for Russian interests than a 3 million populated country with a very weak economical potential.
The tighter Turko-Ruskie relation gets, more Russia will let Turko to do what the poop ever they want. Consider Turkey and Azerbaijan cornering Armenians. Imagine Yerevan being a country alone; not a city.

Russians are not in love with Armenia. It's all about bling bling, when will you learn that?
Turks and Azeris love to attack women and children

We seem to have another cat.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Russia is interested into something more than economics alone, because economics will not guarantee the security of Northern Caucasus. Right now Armenia is their last ally in the region, it's the place where they have their last base. If Russia loses Armenia it loses the Caucasus. Turkey and the West move in and take over. Do you think Russia would like to lose its sphere of influence to the West and Turkey? Because you can bet Azerbaijan will choose Turkey over Russia any day.

Right now in the Caucasus a chess game is being played between the great powers and Russia needs its base in Armenia to keep its influence and power in the region.
The world doesn't revolve around money alone like you seem to think.

But Russia isn't emotionally tied with Armenia. It's all about mentoring the nato, having a sandbag to defend motherland, some resources which would fill only a tooth, and a potential market for the abandoned weaponry. We are all aware of this, aren't we? Short and sweet it's all about the national interest. This can turn up side down anytime. Azeri dictatorship can invest in Putin corporation, hand out the entire sources and feed Medvedev, Turks can buy resources and sign a military cooperative deals with Russians and viola!
              Next day CNN headlines:
-Azeri troops invaded karabakh and moving towards north.
-Turks closed the Armenian border to prevent flow of Armenian refugees.
-Russian troops pulling out of Armenia.
-Azeri rebels shooting down Armenian Air Force hinds down with stingers (+18 Video)
-Turks sign 8 million USD worth arms deal with Azeris

Why would Russia leave Armenia or sign a military treaty with an NATO nation? That doesn't make sense at all. You haven't given a reason why Russia would betray a close ally, and lose their only base in the South Caucasus. They are already selling their resources to Turkey and they don't need to retreat out of Armenia to do that. And What will the US say if their close ally signs a military deal with their rival? Do you think they will allow something like that?
