Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Another "let's be nice" from our side. Now we pay the price!
The article is written by a neutral (pro azeri) NGO annoyance.

"Azerbaijani military advances on tense Nakhchivan-Armenia border

Azerbaijan's military has advanced further into a no man's land on the border with Armenia, causing panic in the nearby Armenian areas, local media have reported. Armenia's military leadership has tried to downplay the advance, while Azerbaijan has been silent.

The advance seems to have taken place without any fighting, and the Azerbaijani forces remain on their side of the internationally recognized border. But they have reportedly taken up new positions in a previously unoccupied neutral zone in Azerbaijan's exclave of Nakhchivan near the Armenian village of Areni."

You have no clue how much do they pray every night while standing in their trenches. Church, Priest and Religion should be next to our Army. Whether you or anyone who thinks like you like it or not. Key of all the battles and victories was because of our religion. If not what are we doing then ? Lets just merge with Turks and Azeries and be part of Muslim Turkic nations. Duh!
Hahahaha oh man. So, having a secular state and army means to merge with turks? Never read something more stupid.
And you didn't get my point. I am talking about structural problems. The priests should be integrated in the psychological service of the army because they can help the soldiers to handle their fears and problems. That's a good thing. If soldiers want to build a little cross-stone or chapel near the trenches or in the military base they should do it. They should have a place to pray if they want. I like these little pieces of armenian culture too. But it's not good to make religious rituals obligatory because not everyone wants to do this and this should be respected as well. It's not correct to equip our military corps with religious signs because the army belongs to the state and not to the church. And it's not good to make priests march like soldiers in front of our government because our priests don't serve the state. Do you understand these little but important differences?

                PS:
The key of all victories can't be our religion itself because we had enough or even more victories before our conversion. And btw the others (muslims etc) aren't less victorious. Religion alone doesn't make you succesful.
Do you live in Armenia? People aren't very religious. They believe in God, but churches aren't well-visted. Religion in Armenia, that's more something annexed to national identity and tradition than religiosity per se.
Why I am saying this? Because my cousins and friends who served in the army told me that the soldiers don't always like these religious things.

I Didn't say having a secular state and army means merging with turks. re-read what i wrote. That's what u interpreted. Can't do much with what u understand.
I live in Armenia, I hold Armenian Passport and i've been in the trenches, posts or whatever. Having religious signs is no bad at all on our military corps. I don't go to the church either, yet i do my praying from my place. Mostly during occasions i visit the church. Army is like the scouts if you have ever been in. Most of the time you are doing activity and not everyone enjoys praying while in Army/scouts. But none will agree with what u are saying cz we are a Christian State. And there is nothing wrong im being/showing your Extremism in your religion. Fedayees had the Cross on their back. Anything wrong in that? If your cousins don't like it, it doesn't mean others don't like. Its like in a group of 10, 1 is gay and you are saying all of them are gay. No offense. anyways you have your point I have my point. No need to continue the argument abt this.

Razm.info posted accurate maps. They're 2000m from Areni.
Armenian positions are actually inside Nakhichevan.
