Indeed. But it will be much more costly from now on to bring in arms through air.. during a new war, Azerbaijan will probably be supplied by Turkey through Georgia, whereas we will have no fresh supplies, only by air, which is not the easiest option.

Georgia is, was, and will remain anti-Armenian. We should never forget this. If it were not for the Armenians living in Javakh, they would have closed their border a long time ago.

What ever their stance, we are economically dependent on them because of the flow of our trade through their land to Europe and Russian markets. Thus, Armenia will always try to maintain friendly relations with Georgia, even if their strategic policy is countering ours. However, if a more pro-Russian government comes into power (Saakashvili is becoming more and more unpopular) then there is much more potential.

First Russian Sukhoi Superjet-100 in Yerevan

YEREVAN. - A handover ceremony of the first Sukhoi Superjet-100 that arrived in Armenia was held at the Zvartnots airport in Yerevan, Tuesday.

President of the Armavia airline Mikhail Bagdasarov, Director General of the Sukhoi OJSC Mikhail Poghosyan, Russian Minister of Transport Igor Levitin, and other officials attended the ceremony.

The airline paid $24 million for the jet. This July, the airline plans to purchase another 98-seater. The airline plans to purchase three other jets within a year if the new jets prove their worth.

“Sukhoi Superjet-100 will make 1.5-2-hour-long flights to Moscow, Sochi, as well as to cities of Ukraine,” Bagdasarov said.

Responding to Armenian News-NEWS.am’s question, he said that the jet will make its maiden flight to Sochi on April 20.

Guess what Russia and Iran have in mind.

My guess is Russia has no choice but to go along with the Western plan making the best out of a deal. Russia knows that it cannot come up with the infrastrusture to continue to feed Europe in near future as demands multiply. Will it abondan Armenia? no, but her moves might not look to be in Armenia's interests which stagnates Armenia.

As far as Iran they themselves want to feed Europe through Turkey, even to Azerbijan if conditions were different, but they lack productivity and not much say in the matter of Baku route.

Armenians wounded two soldiers of Azerbaijani Army

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Two soldiers of Azerbaijani Army were wounded as Armenian Armed Forces violated ceasefire, deputy spokesman for Defense Ministry Teymur Abdullayev told APA.

He said it happened near Kuropatkino village of Khojavend region. The soldiers of Azerbaijani Army – Fazil Elkhan Abdullayev, 20, and Elshan Isfandiyar Nazarov, 21, were wounded as Armenians violated ceasefire. Both soldiers were hospitalized. Abdullayev is in critical condition. Nazarov got slight injury.

Abdullayev had been drafted from Gedebey region, Nazarov from Kelbejer region.

Armenian armed forces have wounded two Azerbaijani soldiers in a violation of the ceasefire along the contact line separating the two sides' troops.
Fazil Elkhan Abdullayev, 20, and Elshan Isfandiyar Nazarov, 21, were wounded in the incident near the village of Kuropatkino in Khojavand District, an Azerbaijani Defence Ministry spokesman, Teymur Abdullayev, said.
Both soldiers have been taken to hospital. Abdullayev's condition is described as critical, while Nazarov's injury is slight.
Abdullayev was drafted from Gadabay District and Nazarov from Kalbajar District.
