What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

It's a shame that the "International community" doesn't complain about murderous Azerbaijan. Actually, even if a war started and Azerbaijan had started it, they would probably condemn both sides. If Russia intervened, they would probably also condemn Russia as well. If Armenia had oil it would have been a different story.

Do you understand how does the “condemnation” process work.

        This is my guess

A few nodding heads decide to raise “condemnation” note over a cup of coffee.
The secretary using a existing template does a copy and paste.

An announcement is made and a “copy” is delivered to the side concerned, foreign ministry or representative.

Then the most important thing happens.
It gets filed!! ...... in a library and indexed for easy reference.
        Why?

Because a million of those condemnation documents exist and it would be so hard to find them if need be.

Now if you are impressed by that you would be impressed by anything.

I am really getting annoyed by the US and their hypocritical actions. We have made substantial democratic reform in the past years, for example recently
-Serzh has started dialogue with Opposition
-Serzh began inquiry into March 1 events
-The opposition has been allowed to protest
-government is clamping down on corruption and removing incompetent and corrupt politicians

Despite all this, US has stopped aid from the Millennium Project, it has condemned Armenia fiercely in its human rights report, while letting dictatorship Azerbaijan (that arrests children) and authoritarian Georgia off the hook. Of course this has nothing to with democracy - they are simply punishing us for having good relations with Iran. Well f*ck them, and their hypocritical blood money, we should increase our relations with Iran in response. We won't submit to US's dreams of us becoming a province of Turkey.

International community? Sam where is the record Sam!

I will not speak about this any more, but I will say this. We are saving it is the only thing that makes sense. We don't want them to know, so we lose one here and there. But when it begins everyone will see something else.

What are you talking about? I was making the point that, to a certain degree, international condemnation of the provocotive actions of some countries towards their neighbors, generally speaking, can have impact. To make my point, I cited the recent example of Azerbaijan's threats to shoot down civilian aircraft, and how, after international condemnation of such an intent caused Azerbaijan to reverse it's position and publicly state that it had no intention to shoot down civilian aircraft. If you don't think international condemnation played a role in Azerbaijan's sudden change of tone, then perhaps you would care to enlighten us?

                Most ridiculous expectation
It wasn't an expectation. It was a mere statement, and allow me to repeat it: IF, in addition to condeming such provoctive action, the international community imposed sanctions on Azerbaijan, then they would learn to behave.

That is why I stated, "we can't place our hopes on the "international community" to be just and fair."

Excuse me? I couldn't make sense of what you're trying to say here, can you please claify your comment?

So because the Azeri are loosing more soldiers we should be happy we are doing well.
DO YOU REALISE THIS IS NOT A BLOODY FOOTBALL MATCH.
What I belive is you should calm down your tone. If you're having some personal problems, perhaps you should take some time away from the screen.

Secondly, of course we should be happy Azeri dogs are being killed. But that's not because our losses are less. Each and every Armenian soldiers life is precious. And that's the price of keeping a country and preserving it's boundries. I am heartbroken at the loss, as every Armenian should be.

If as you say the Azeri army is in trouble dont you think it is the best time to teach them a lesson FOR WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
What are you, 7 years old? Do you even know what war is? Are you suggesting full scale blitzkrieg or something?

You and your expert friend are arguing against yourselves.
And you seem to be talking to yourself, WHAT ARE U SAYING??????????

On the one hand you are saying they are in trouble so we should be happy, then accepting us to be the punching bag to save THEIR bacon.
O, is that how you like to see "us" as? I don't know what "us" you're talking about, as we don't appear to be on the same side of the fence, but such skrimishes have taken place since the ceasefire was signed in 1994, in case you weren't aware.

punching bag? I find that interesting how one-sided and selective you are in characterizing the sides. That's probably a manifestation of how you see yourself personally. Your anti-Armenian, self-hating tone sickens me. seek some help.

As regards the situation in Azerbaijan, the CIA world factbook openly says:

Corruption in the country is ubiquitous, and the government, which eliminated presidential term limits in a 2009 referendum, has been accused of authoritarianism. Although the poverty rate has been reduced in recent years due to revenue from oil production, the promise of widespread wealth resulting from the continued development of Azerbaijan's energy sector remains largely unfulfilled.

                  Situation in Azeri Army:

                  FROM NOT TOO LONG AGO

                  21 February 2011

Seven Azerbaijan soldiers shot dead by comrade at base

A soldier has shot and killed seven fellow troops at a military base in western Azerbaijan, reports say.

The victims were all young conscripts from different parts of the country and were named by the defence ministry, the News.Az website reported.

It is not yet clear what the motivation was for the attack on Sunday in the Caucasus republic's Goygol district.

In a previous shooting rampage in the cash-strapped army, two soldiers shot four officers dead in January 2010.

Seven conscript troops are shot and killed by a fellow soldier at a military base in western Azerbaijan.

INDEED, an army facing such internal problems would benefit from diverting its attnetion to external "threats".

                  • Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan

The slogan "1,500,000 + 1" again becomes relevant
Turkish human rights activists believe that the killing of Armenians committed a Genocide Memorial Day, it was not accidental.

Armenians in Istanbul tomorrow will mark the seventh day of the death of our compatriot Sevak Balikchi Shahin, who was murdered under mysterious circumstances. Perhaps the fate of the 25-year Istanbul Armenians, who was shot in the army comrade-Turk, attention would have been less if the incident occurred in a given day.

The thing that guy was killed on April 24, when the Armenians all over the world are celebrating the Day of Remembrance of genocide perpetrated by the Turks. There are many reasons to suspect that this is not a simple coincidence.
Sevak Shahin Balikchi was called up for active military service two years ago at the end of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Technical University of Istanbul. He is well educated and wanted to become a designer. Sevak studied in the first year when a friend introduced him to the student of the Faculty of Economics of the same high school - beautiful Melanie. "We met six years. Before he was drafted into the service, we Sevak agreed to marry as soon as he returns from the army. There remained only 23 days before he was to return, and we have started preparing for our wedding . But instead of a wedding a funeral "- Melanie Kumruyan told reporters. Balikchi serve in the ranks in terms of internal troops, stationed in the area of Kozluk province of Batman. Commanders characterized by its extremely positive. The day before the incident, the mother Sevak Ani Balykchi spoke with him by phone. I It was a festive mood. On the eve of her mother sent her son Easter eggs and Easter cakes. But to celebrate Easter, he did not succeed. At noon on April 24, Sevak was killed. The murder was committed outside the territory of military unit. According to the official version, Balikchi and his colleague, the Turk had been instructed to ensure safety of repairmen who were engaged in repairing the fence fighting the reference point. Both were armed. It follows from the report drawn up by the command of a military unit, co-worker as a result of careless handling of weapons assigned to it produced a random shot in the abdomen near the working Sevak Shahin Balikchi. At the same time in another official report noted that the murder was the result of a failed joke a friend of the victim. But the most notable is the fact that the witnesses were no incidents. In such a case where a command so confident in the fact that it happened this way? Seriously wounded Sevak delivered to the district hospital Kozluk, but it was too late. Until his body was prepared for forensic examination, the criminal court Kozluk considered whether the taking of the murderer in custody. Servants of Themis seen fit to offer prosecutors not to detain the soldier because "his actions had no malicious intent." Preventive measure was elected to the mildest, which just might be. The authenticity of the official version of what happened to so many seems doubtful. Sevak parents do not believe what they tell us.'s father killed Garabet Balykchy in an interview with Turkish journalists, said: "It is strange that our son was killed April 24 - the day when we celebrated the anniversary of the tragic events of 1915. All this makes us doubt the veracity of the official version. We demand that the circumstances of the death of our son have been thoroughly investigated. " The mother of the deceased, in turn, said: "I do not believe that my son was killed April 24 by a random bullet." But the central Turkish newspapers continues to insist that "all parents are urged not to tie the death of his son with the events of 1915." It is noteworthy that if the first day after the incident the parents openly expressed distrust of the official version, but now has expressed far more cautiously. The explanation for this given in an interview with Hurriyet Istanbul's Armenian community activist Marie Yalynbash: "The family of the deceased, perhaps afraid to express their suspicions, but we are waiting for an answer. The fact that the incident occurred on April 24, is in serious doubt." Go ahead parents expressed bride Sevak. Melanie Kumruyan told the press that, shortly before the incident commander of the severe beating of her fiancé. Sevak decided to make a complaint to the commander, which led him even more furious. He threatened to kill him, and then burn his body. "I do not believe that Sevak killed as a result of a joke. Such a large number of matches can not be ", - said the bride, alluding to the fact that it happened on the day of memory of the victims of genocide. Little hope that the murder investigation would be objective, no. The verdict of the judge who issued the murderer of freedom, already speaks volumes. Investigating authorities are categorically refusing to confirm the information leaked to the press that morning on April 24 in a military unit Kozluk between Sevak and his colleagues-Turkish dispute related to the assessment of events in 1915. Version that the murder could have a national soil, swept aside the result at all. Meanwhile, the results of forensic examination to date have not been published, which also looks suspicious.

Turkish rulers are doing everything to save face, spoiled incident that occurred at the most inopportune moment. On Wednesday, during a memorial service, held at the Church of St. Vardanants, were representatives of top political and military leadership of the country. In order to express sympathy for the parents Sevak and the entire Armenian community, the church was the third person of the government. Minister of State Egemen Bagis after the ceremony, said: "I am here to express my deepest condolences from the government. For us, it makes no difference who was killed - Turk, Armenian or Kurd." In the same spirit expressed and accompanied the Minister of State commander of the third case of armed Turkish forces Ulus Acar, Regional Gendarmerie Commander, Major-General Ibrahim Yasar and the mayor of Sisli district of Istanbul, Mustafa Sarigyul. The coffin was covered Turkish flag. Above the flag laid a wreath in the shape of a cross. The white cross on a red crescent ... yet conducted the funeral liturgy deputy patriarch, Archbishop Aram Ateshyan uttered a funeral prayer in the face was present at the ceremony, the widow of Hrant Dink, tears flowed. It is easy to guess what happened to Shahin Sevak Balikchi. Something like that happened four years ago with her husband. The real culprits of the incident are still at large.

When will Armenians understand that the Europeans and Western powers are the most hypocritical, bloody, imperialistic bastards existing in the world? They don't give a sh*t about Armenia or Armenians, they don't give a sh*t about democracy or human rights, they don't give a sh*t about Julfa or Armenian casualties, they just want the (Azerbaijani) oil, or they want their Wester puppets (Levon Ter-Petrosian, this failed, now they want Raffi Hovanissian) in power, by means of their defective "democracy".

In the past the genocidal Western imperialists used "christianity" to conquer the world, manipulate people and steal from others, now it is notion of "democracy" they are misusing for this purpose. It's basically the same xxxx, but in a different package.

We just have to have economic relations with them, just as with the rest of the world. Japan did not look at the West when they rebuild their country. We don't need their support nor their biased judgement, we Armenians have to do it ourselves, we have to build an "Armenian" version of democracy. Not a biased, individualistic, sex-based fake democracy which exists in the US for example.

Their hypocrisy is just amazing. The biggest liars in the world, and they get away with it as the media is in their hands.
