Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Your right, here is room to climb, but there is no room to for the airplanes to conduct complex air combat maneuvers at those altitudes. An air war over Armenia would be like a shootout in a bar. Extremely messy, chaotic and unorganized.
In that case Armenia needs to liberate more territory in order to accommodate the future Armenia's fighter/bomber aircraft's high altitude performance range........sounds logical to me.
I suppose going above Mach 1 in Armenia's airspace is a problem without violating other countries airspace, but in case of a war Azeri airspace is game.

In theory Azeri airspace is game, but the S-300 PMU-2 is no joke. We need some Iskander's to take out their radars. Then our Scud's and Iskander's could fly freely to their targets and so could our Su-25's.
