My opinion is that we should just continue to post on this thread. It is by far the most active and viewed thread involving politics/military on this forum (on pace to pass "Rise of Russia") and gets ridiculous amounts of guests scrolling through it at times. We must be doing something right.

Do you live in the US?
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

I stand by burjuin and ArmenianR1 and anyone else who posts photoes of ARM on this thread.....and I can't believe you would think the photoes are irelevant or that they are spam, what is matter with you.
Actually, the topic is "Nagorno-Karabakh: Military Balance between Armenia & Azerbaijan". My posts concerned the miltary-balance part, so evidently, it belongs here. It had nothing to do with "the Rise of Russia" thread. Probably your definition of spamming is a bit flawed, never heard before that altering text in color and size is considered spamming.

It's fine with me, it was just a suggestion. Still, in my opinion only photographs of new photos, who are relevant and can alter the military-balance, should be posted here, so we can have a clear discussion. All the hundreds of other photos, concerning the same weapons we already saw for like 1000 times, and same troops we saw for 1000 times, but from different angels and different days, do not contribute much to the topic. I don't see what the problem is having a seperate topic where everyone can posts those hundreds of photos.

1- Thanks for Burjuin's work, he is the main provider of this thread, and deserves only credits.
2- Would be great, if blind russian propaganda (or any other if there was) was stopped. We are no children here.

BLIND love is the best way for betrayal, and Russia is very keen to.

Baghdasaryan, Semerikov discuss Armenia-Russia military cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Security Council Secretary (NSC) Artur Baghdasaryan met with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov.

At the meeting, the parties focused on organisation of 2012 CSTO maneuvers in Armenia, with Mr. Semerikov expressing readiness to offer both practical and expert assistance to Armenia in the process. Armenia will host an exercise of the Rapid Reaction Force of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO RRF) in 2012 dated to the 20th anniversary of the organization.

Implementation of agreements the leaders of CSTO states reached at Astana-hosted meeting in August, military and technical cooperation was also discussed. In conclusion, the officials agreed to organize a conference in Yerevan to promote Armenia-Russia military cooperation, NSC press service reported.

Simply pathetic. Nobody here is advocating for blind Russian propaganda, it is only by analyzing the (geo)political situation, one understands that as long as Russia has interests in Armenia, Armenians should do everything to gain maximum advantage of that. Again, this does not mean we should not develop good relations with the rest of the countries in the world (Europe, China, Japan, South-America, Arab world, etc.). We should, definitely.

Most Armenians are politically immature emotional creatures, and just don't want to understand that today, we have an enormous, enormous opportunity, if only Armenians would unite and put effort into influencing Russia even more, so that the massive support we even get today, will remain and only be expanded. If Armenians united, Armenian organizations united, Armenians lobbies united together with the largest Armenian Diaspora in the world, the Russian-Armenian Diaspora, who are represented in every field in Russia, be it politics, military, media, economics, culture, the benefits would be enormous (ainpes wor hrjanere Amerika-um anumen, they only think of interests and contrary to Armenians, are not emotional)

If not for the self-hating Armenian peasants, the pro-Western fanatics and Western agencies who actually want to destroy Russian-Armenian relations, the public discussion of this topic would not be needed. But, unfortunately, rather than being united and improving our relations, emotional Armenians want to be "tough"? be "independent"? not "fall in blind love"? want to "show who is the real boss"?. Politics has no place for those silly emotions.

And it is always the same stupid arguments who already have been refuted a million times. It's:

                - Armenia doesn't get any rent (in the sums of some million) for the Russian military base.

At the same ignoring that through that base, Armenia gets hundreds of millions even more than billions worth of free and discounted weaponry, and actually it is a strategic base which main task is to counter Turkey and protect Armenia's borders, etc.. etc..).

                - Russia provided Azerbaijan with weaponry.

Again, pure emotions. "Oh my God, I thought he was an ally, I am crying now, did he really give weapons to my enemy?". You stupid, emotional morons. You shouldn't give a xxxx abou the motion of "ally" or "friend" or "boss". If Russia is modernizing it's military, and wants to sell the older parts of his equipment for hundreds of millions of dollars, they have the full right to. At best, it is our fault that our lobbying organization in Russia have not developed to that scale that we could stop the deal. Anyway, Russia at the same time massively armed the Armenian army with immense amounts of weaponry we could never afford and basically signed a deal which stated that Russia has to get involved if Armenia get's into a war. And again, it depends on us, we should remind Russia and drag them into a possibly new war and not wait and sit by the side-lines until they do something, and afterwards emotionally scream "but I thought they were an ally".

And last, one must understand that we are in no position, as a country, to threaten Russia with political or any other consequences, it is clear and evident that without their political, military, and economic support, small, poor resource-less land-locked Armenia would be annihilated. Thus political leverage is nihil. What we can do, is influence Russia from the inside! A thing most Armenians impossibly seem to understand.

(Again, for the peasant morons, this does not mean we should stop developing our relations with other countries in Europe, China, Japan or Africa etc., they go perfectly side-by-side)

Off topic.....this thread is about Artsakh, and the balance the Armenian soldiers must keep and the weapons used to defend it. It is more of a military thread than a political one.

The only actor, undermining Armenian/Russian relations, is Russia, or more precisely some parts of political elite.

For the remaining bright ideas, no need to comment.....

Amazingly good argument. Thought through, well defined. Never thought of it that way! Thanks.
