I am tired of your BS vrej. I am plenty old enough to remember exectly where the money came from and who brought it there and from whom we bought weapons.. What you dont seem to get is that russia doesnt have to do xxxx. If russia doesnt do anything to help us we die while russia can simply reclaim the same area after we are dead, Remember georgia-it doesnt take them long to take care of business but for us its life or death. Russia has provided us with security from the enemy you and others here seem to be forgetting about to our west for the last 90 plus years - care to venture what the value of such protection is and maybe then you can talk about who owes who what... The azeris are joke compared to the real threat facing Armenia and dwelling on a victory or two seems to have blinded many to the grave situation Armenia continues to be in.

You'd think that they were pissed off, especially considering that it was RT that leaked much of the news to the Internet while using a dubious title for its article. But I am wondering how can Armenia get those kinds of weapons for such low/discounted prices from poor Moldova? Especially considering that Moldova is part of the joke called GUAM. Russian sponsored deal?

Definitly not Russian sponsored.
No one can say if the price is that cheap, at this stage.
From what was published, nothing new was acquired. So no technological shake.
It looks like normal, minor deal.

Concerning Moldova.
GUAM is dead, for a long time now. (when Ukrain was 'lost')
Moldova does not need arms, of this type, anymore:
There is no probability of war with Transdniester.
Transdniestrans=Russian military base cut from mother Russia, by rather non cooperative Ukraine, having got all they could or wish. Any military adventure crossing the Dniepr from their side is excluded, given the fact that it would spoil EU/Russia relashions, worth hundred of billions...
Moldova=Bessarabia=very poor Romanian province independent, with just two ambitions: reunite with richer Romania, and by it getting in RICHLAND EU.... so no prospect of a military adventure from their side too.
Contrary to Azarpaydjan who 'decided' Artsakh was its historic land, Bessarabians just wish to forget about the slavonic wetlands on the other side of the Dnieper, integrated into Moldova, to make it less romanian by Stalin in 1941, and then again in 1944.., and the reason there is no solution there is that Transdniester is cut of from Russia. And Russia is interested to keep this troubeling spot in the middle of futur EU member Moldova(as part or not of Romania) and Ukrain....this is a geostrategic nightmare, of the kind of Kaliningrad, in the heart of the EU....

If there is to be a change in this frozen situation, it will be on EU, or at least ROMANIA/Russia level. It may happen that Russia will sell Transdniester, but in no way, regaining the separatist zone will be the result of a purely military campain...
The only place where trouble may happen, is the Gagavouzland (the only christian turk tribe, living near the delta of the Dnieper). But this is still not very likely, and even if there was problem, they will not have to face tanks and artllary...

So, NO WAR.
And even if the most unlikely scenario, a military war was to happen, Moldova has full access to Romania's rusting arms stockpiles dating Warsow pact. In a matter of hours, they can get hundred time same missiles...
The question is, do they need the manpower to men them too, or not?

By the way, it is not excluded, that these arms were not 'Romanian' at first place...

So basically, this was meant to rust, never to be used in any scenario, within Moldova. Only logical they sold..., it is an other matter, and not very interesting: who pocketed what.
This will be the case, in near futur, when Mr SAHAKATCHFILI will change in Georgia.
Georgia is doomed to live in peace with Abkazia and Ossetia, and if change there will be, it will be thanks to Russian/US bargain.
So all the shiny arsenal Georgia got, will have to be recycled...

The only outstanding things in this history are:
1- Russian made 'revelation'/scandal, as if it was a SCOOP.
2- Azari cheap Hysteria, same we hear every other day....

Indeed, I have misread your post, as I thought it was your own personal opinion. I was already thinking why the text sounded so familiar. In that context of his, it remains a statement intended for the youth, not to take seriously.

Prime Minister Erdogan took it seriously enough to Ask Sarkisian for an appology over this. You just can't see the importance of that statement.

Probably this is the only response you can give, as you can't give answers to my previous posts. The only thing you do is talk around it. Furthermore, this topic is about the Military Balance between Armenia (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Azerbaijan, everything which affects the military balance can be discussed, including Russian-Armenian strategic (military) relations, as a matter of fact, talking about the military balance is impossible without taking into account the strategic partnership Armenia has with Russia.
