            Soldier leaves military unit with his weapon in Azerbaijan

            Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army run from the military unit with his military weapon. APA reports that the incident was recorded in Defense Ministry’s N military unit situated in Goranboy.

            Karim Mirsaleh Ibrahimov, 18, left the military unit with his combat weapon.

            The operation group was created after the incident. The operational search actions are continuing for his finding.

            Ibrahimov was drafted from Lerik Region Military Commissariat on January 2012.

              Azerbaijan’s military prosecutor: “Lankaran Aliyev was brought to responsibility because of misappropriation and unauthorized actions” - EXCLUSIVE

              Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The criminal investigation launched against the staff service chairman at the Azerbaijan Armed Forces Academy, Major-General Lankaran Aliyev continues, Azerbaijan’s Military Prosecutor Khanlar Veliyev told APA.

              Veliyev noted that that General Aliyev was brought to responsibility because of misappropriation and unauthorized actions against the servicemen: “He is accused on several charges, the investigative measures on these criminal cases are being continued now. The results will be announced after the end of the investigation”.

              The Defense Ministry demanded to annul the assignment of living quarters issued for Lankaran Aliyev and filed lawsuit at the Yasamal district court, which rejected the case. An appellate appeal followed this resolution. The Appeal Court approved the first instance decision earlier, then the ministry appealed the Supreme Court and the case was sent to the Appeal Court of Baku again. The Appeal Court of Baku sustained the Defense Ministry’s claim.

              The Ministry issued statement on violations of law by Lankaran Aliyev while working as the chief of Teaching Training Center. According to the statement, serious violations of law were revealed in the Lankaran Aliyev’s activity as the chief of Teaching Training Center, criminal case was launched on several articles of the Criminal Code.

                      Actually, I did some research and he is far from the worst. He more or less thinks that the Azeris should give up any hope for trying to seize Artsakh. He seems to be avidly against war first and foremost. For now, they have taken the page offline. Below is a link to another article written by Wayne Merry. He advocates Armenia keeping Artsakh and a wide corridor and some of the "occupied" territories going back to Azerbaijan with peace enforced by outside powers thus both sides having to make a compromise.
