      Military vehicle crashed in Azerbaijan, one soldier died, several injured

      Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A soldier of Azerbaijani Army died in the traffic accident. State Traffic Police Office told APA that it happened in Goranboy region.

      Anar Ojagov, 19, died as UAZ vehicle owned by the Defense Ministry’s military unit crashed. Several soldiers were injured and hospitalized.

      Anar Ojagov was drafted from Shabran region in 2011.

        Three years pass since assassination of Azerbaijani Deputy Defense Minister Rail Rzayev

        Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh - APA. Three years have passed since the assassination of Azerbaijani Deputy Defense Minister, Commander of the Military Air Forces and Air Defense Troops, Lieutenant General Rail Rzayev.

        APA reports that Rail Rzayev was shot in the head in his car near his house on February 11, 2009. Rail Rzayev was taken to Central Clinic Hospital of the Defense Ministry, but the doctors could not save his life. The Republic Military Prosecutor’s Office launched criminal case on the fact on article 120.2.3 (deliberate murder of the person or his close relatives in connection with service job) of the Criminal Code.

        Rail Rzayev’s aide Anar Hashimov, assistant Aydin Rafiyev and his son Anar Rafiyev were arrested. The Court of Grave Crimes sentenced Aydin Rafiyev to 9 years in jail, Anar Rafiyev to 7 years and 6 months, Anar Hashimov to 7 years in jail.

        According to the indictment, soon after Rail Rzayev was assassinated on February 11, general’s assistant Aydin Rafiyev and aide Anar Hashimov illegally entered his office, stole great deal of xxxelry, medications, DVDs and €200,000 from general’s safe.

        Rail Gurban Rzayev was born in Salyan region in 1945. He graduated from Vladikavkaz Anti-Aircraft Missiles Command School in 1966. He served in anti-aircraft missiles unions of former Soviet army in Azerbaijan. He was a Chief of Baku Repair Base of Aircraft Defense Forces in 1989-1992. He was appointed commander-in-chief of Air Defense Troops in 1992. He participated in Nagorno Karabakh war. He was a Commander-in-chief of the Air Forces in 1994. He was promoted to lieutenant general by the order of President Ilham Aliyev in 2004. He was awarded several orders and medals of Azerbaijan. He has three children.

          A lot of pictures there are of Erebuini airport and Russian Mig-29's

            20 years pass since occupation of Malibeyli and Gushchular villages of Shusha region

            Baku – APA. 20 years have passed since Malibeyli and Gushchular villages of Shusha region were occupied, APA reports.

            With the support of the 366th Motorized Rifle Regiment deployed in Khankendi, Armenian and Russian servicemen serving there, the Armenian army units attacked Malibeyli and Gushchular villages of Shusha on February 9. The unequal battle lasted for three days, on February 11, 1992 both villages were occupied. The villages were burnt, houses, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, administrative buildings, cultural monuments were destroyed.

            About 30 civilians were killed, taken hostage, hundreds were wounded. The rest of the people came to Aghdam with difficulties in frosty weather.

                    It's speculated we might get some new ATGM's since Azeris are getting T-90S. Let's hope this materializes!
                    I find it abit strange we dont have kornet yet, its more powerful than metis-m.
