To answer Turco's questions:

The military build up of azerbaijan isn't just going to be a sitting loaded gun.

All the Mig-29s, Tochka missiles, Israeli weapons etc. that Baku acquired recently need a lot of expensive maintenance. With the barrel of oil down to its present $40 price, a lot of Azerbaijan's military machine will be a rusting sitting loaded gun.

Russia commits to its agreement and comes to armenia's aid.

Turkey does the same for azerbaijan? (Turkey may hesitate and contemplate)

Unless Turkey attacks Armenia directly, Russia will not need to move a finger. Azerbaijan cannot defeat the Armenians (Russians have been ensuring that since 1991).
In case the Turks intervene and actually attack Armenia proper, expect a full Russian intervention with the following outcome:
- A defeated Turkish army that will retreat back to its borders.
- Azerbaijan will be crushed and conquered by the Russians (and Armenians). New borders will have to be redrawn (Armenia will have a border with Russia)
- Cyprus will become one nation again (Greek) with a Turkish minority still there.
etc.etc. (all negative for your country)

And you are correct, if war breaks out between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Turkey will do no more than provide indirect support to their Azeri brothers. Direct military confrontation will be limited to Armenia and Azerbaijan.

NATO vs Russia?

That is an extreme case that will not happen. Russia will not attack Turkish soil as it will force NATO to defend its member (according to NATO charter).
A NATO vs Russia confrontation will quickly escalate into a nuclear confrontation in which humanity will have to sort out the ashes of the victor from the ashes of the vanquished.

If Aliyev gets crazy like Saakashvili, i don't think it's farfetched to contemplate the worst case scenario.

Unlike Saakashvili, Aliyev is not a madman-puppet installed and controlled by Washington. He is wiser. Despite all his war rhetoric, he will not make the same kind of mistake that crazy Mike did. Aliyev's saber rattling is mostly for internal consumption/public opinion.

There wont be any war for Armenia, at least for the foreseeable future. That is due to the recent developments between Armenia and Turkey on diplomatic level. Turkey needs Armenia as a safe energy route and Armenia will benefit from that. It is a win-win situation. Azerbaijan can not attack Armenia if Turkey doesn't support them.

So things are quite complicated.

In other word the war will stay in the ragion bethwin Armenia and Azerbaijan given the situation Azeris will lose so no war will hapen.
