  • Border opening: online petition campaign

I just put this together real quick……..this may need to be worded better and/or modified (political correctness) by our intellectuals (?) university professors or whoever.
Anybody knows how to start a serious online petition?? I am an idiot when it comes to computer stuff.

To the Government of the Republic of Armenia:

We the Armenian people have started this petition to bring to your attention of our great concerns in regards to recent events on boarder opening with Turkey and the consequence agreements and commitments either agreed and signed by you or pressured upon you by other States. Even though we feel that certain steps are necessary to bring conciliation between us and Turkey we strongly protest against any concessions to the following:

1- Avoiding statements or international actions relating to genocide recognition and agreements by you on a joint study by scholars from Turkey and Armenia, backed by United States, Russia and the European Union and its Member States on an issue that is already a proven fact but not recognized by certain states due to political reasons.

2- Withdrawals from any Buffer Zones under Armenian forces by OSCE Minsk Group basic principles on a Nagorno-Karabakh settlement before reaching a complete and unequivocal territorial agreements and a signed peace treaty with Azerbaijan.

3- Recognition of Turkey’s territorial integrity within the borders laid out in the 1921 Treaty of Kars and nullifying the Treaty of Sevres.

We are ready to move forward with our Turkish counterparts but by no means are we willing to concede any of these rights. We trust that our Government in Armenia represents not only the well being of the State but also the well being and the prosperous future of all Armenians including the large Diasporan population scattered around the world.

    Thank you.

This is good Eddo jan. Now we need some legal interaction to make it more correct in language or legal.

    Thank you it looks good.

Dear Members; If anyone wishes to see what entails the Sevri Tashnakir versus the Kars Tashnakir, I will put it out on a new thread under Armenian History Section for your viewing.

I support open border because I support Armenia. Stop being fooled by the Dashnaks and Axpars, They don't know what is best for Armenia.

OK Mos, you are right but should we not at least try to show our concerns to the Armenian Government?

I am against any type of uprising in Armenia other than peaceful demonstration if deemed required by the Armenians living there and if the boarder opening is the best course of action to take for the Armenia and the well being of its people then I am all for it but at what cost in the long run is Armenia committing herself to?
Should we not care………….should we not at least ask as Armenians.

after everything that has happened in History?

Hell if I know. All I know is what I see and what I feel.

First off, thanks Eddo jan. I don't know if this will help but it's worth trying. It's always worth trying im mets yekhpayr.

Allow me to deal with the legal and language issues, if you don't mind, guys. I know people that can help.

Icy jan; thanks for asking. The initial petition was written by our member friend Eddo211 then our Saco member above from Armenia will have it edited by his legal friend or acquaintance then he'll print it for us to get it signed. We have to wait a little. Thanks for waiting.

Ok thank you Anoush. I was wondering when we do get the
petition, how many signatures do we need? I live in Glendale
getting Armenians to sign the petition will be fairly easy, I'm just
wondering how many signatures do we need and who do we give
the petition to when we are finished with it?
