well, its true, tell u this, the class which uses the police, the army to smash up its own workers as they demand a better wage, or are disgusted at tuition fees, or are against the war are foreign to me.

You would say the same if you were in Yerevan demostrating against Kocharians rigging, and the Armenian Army came and smashed your head in along with your medzmams, and this is what happened.

this class and its tools is foreign for me, and this isnt just from reading, this is first hand experience.

This is not the capitalist. The communist was a lot harsher on this, no?

Not saying I agree, of course not. However, I THINK demonstrations were a little harder to undertake back in the commie days.

Needless to say, the strong arm of the law is still being used, but it seems like it is getting better. Slow improvement is still improvement.
About investment in Armenia, I'm personally all for it, but I've heard so many horror stories that if I somehow had the money, which i don't, it would still turn me off.

Danz, your comments remind me of the brutality of the stalinist regime at the airport at zvartnots when Gorbachov landed in Armenia 88-89 period, was brutality then, so im first to say that there was brutality in stalinist regime, however, the regime then was more accountable than 2days regime. Police are much more brutal these days, they have way to much power, and are accountable to no1 except those they must pay % of their bribe income to.

But, at least then, the police were a tool of the beurocracy against the people, the people still had a great say in the beurocrats.

2day, the police are the tool of the capitalist class, which is not much less accountable to the workers and more importantly perhaps proppedd up with capitalist finance.

                what are your views?

So what if I have a nostalgic manner! I never said i didn't and in many other threads I have explained i do. That has nothing to do with what i said. Ya you have to think of the material conditions, but there would be no material conditions if there wasnt a nationality!

Just what say did the people have in the bureaucrats? And not idealistically, realistically please.
