Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Re: Degradation of Armenians in Armenia.

Also these kind of people are the ones who hurt our nation the most, for example the girl I was talking about, she does not like Armenia just because she heared negative stories about Armenia.

Instead of being optimistic, try to do something for your country to make it how you want it to be, these guys are only good at criticizing everything. Also, thinking logical is also a major obstacle, as people do not understand that a country who has just gotten independence after hundreds of years, has suffered a major war/earthquake/closed borders, will have it's difficulties and wrongs, and will not become a paradise in 10-15 years.

Re: Degradation of Armenians in Armenia.

Im just saying i got alot o relatives in armenia, and we talk from Skype,
good lord armenia have numerous problems, but all of them are solvable thank god,
people there have brains, they lack money.
In the other hand we are not in any way compared to the other xxxx holes like pakistan azerbaboonistan kazakstan ouzbekistan and other arab states or balkan ones,
our country is better in so many ways from lets say turkey that even if they try so hard to enter European union still they will be considered backwards and just will not fit with other civilized country's,
but even calling the word armenian the people that are educated will think it as one more rightful european neighbor only if we where closely geographical but that not mean we are not Europeans, turks are mongols but do u see the in mongolia?

Re: Degradation of Armenians in Armenia.

Its easy to criticise Armenia because of economics, democracy or free speech wise, thats probably the thing that gives some Europeans a feeling of superiority. But culture wise Armenia is an equal at least. But some EU nations have worse democracy especially in Italy where the ruiling party owns the tv channels and major newspapers. Also demographically Europe is a
mess, in many parts of Europe poor Turkish and North African Muslims are starting to outnumber the Europeans. If you look at Armenia, most people are still Arnenian and keep their culture, in Europe that is not the case. So if I was to compare Armenia and Europe, I could find more reasons for staying in Armenia.

Not yet. In France Moslems are 5 million out of 60 million.
But Armenia is not anti-Moslem. In fact Armenians can get on with Moslems better than Europeans.
Culture is not enough if you are sick, unemployed, or have no proper home, and can't afford doctors or medicines, can't afford to buy proper clothes, or your food intake is very basic, not very nutritious and the same every day.
That is why 800,000 or more Armenians have left Armenia

Re: Degradation of Armenians in Armenia.

The Armenians who have left, did not left because they did not like the policy of Armenia, they left because of the earthquake, crisis and the nations who constantly wage war against us.

The situation in Armenia is amazing, and I think only the Armenians could survive such a horror, no other nation. Our living standards are even higher than the of most Georgians or Azeris.

Armenia is the most democratic, safe, stable country in the whole of the Caucasus, and we can be proud of that!

My parents left cause of the bad economical situation not because of war,and i know lot of familys here in greece most of them left cause they had relatives here,or for a search of better life without the hardships of bad economy in crisis in the middle of a war.
If my parents stay in Yerevan they will earn today less than 200 euros per month as teachers in opera. The good thing would be the many trips and they would still do what they love the most.

The 200 euros and even more, you mention, are receiving manual workers, in Armenia. For instance my sons; I have 3 sons, receive more than $1,000 per month. By the way you should return back to Armenia, because the situation in Greece is not significantly better now.

Actually with Muslims in Europe it is more to do with poverty and low education, many live in appaling conditions in Ghettos; and have little rights and bad working conditions so it is no wonder they dont like the Europeans. As for Armenia as far as I can tell no one starves or is unhealthy in the way you are talking of, Armenians just dont have a huge amount of money. But at least the money is shared, in Turkey and Azerbajian millions are in poverty, not so with Armenia.

As the Greek economy worsens, even Greeks are thinking of leaving Greece for other countries.
Thousands of foreign workers in Greece among them Armenians will be affected. If they return to Armenia, the Armenian economy will benefit.

The cause of the bad economic situation in Armenia (where people have better living conditions than much more richer Azerbaijan and Georgia), is not the fault of Armenians as some claim.

The earthquake, wars, closed borders are the cause of the bad economic situation, so you're parents left just because of that.

''Armenia is corrupt'', ''Armenia is selling our lands'', ''Armenia is poor''... those statements are just too simple to make.
