Stop trying to change the subject. We could talk about Israel's laws in another thread (it has some flaws as well), but not to the extent here where people can be punished by stoning. And that's just a small part of Iran's penal code. The government of Iran would do its people and its image a lot of good if it removed some of these medieval style laws.

So what does Iran's laws have to do with Armenia-Iranian relations?

The topic opened up about the human rights situation in Iran. I tend to be a socially conservative person, however such penal codes just go to far, and resemble more middle ages than present day.

Honestly, I don't think we have the luxury to have such backwards laws affected our relations, because in the end of the day we need the economic cooperation and we need to feed off of the Iranian-Azeri tensions.

Talking about a conservative country you should see what Iranians do when they come to Yerevan. They start drinking beer and vodka in the streets, partying all day, the women wear provocative dresses, it's like they transform instantly into some Western tourists. There's a Persian night club in center Yerevan where are the Persians go and dance to Western music and get drunk. I've seen this with my eyes, you might think they are conservative people, but when they are in a more liberal country like Armenia, it's a whole different story. Pretty funny I must say.

I've had some fun experiences with those crazy Persians, often translate for them actually.

It's like anywhere else in the world, you'll find crazy people in the urban/cities and conservative people in the rural/country areas. It's like visiting Bangkok and thinking all of Thailand is like that.

Well in Iran all those things are forbidden, so urban or rural really doesn't matter in this case. Why you think so many Iranian tourists come now? Armenia is cheap, friendly, good culture, and relative to Iran rather liberal where you can do pretty much do whatever you can do in any given Western country.

Armenia is cheap, friendly, good culture, and relative to Iran rather liberal where you can do pretty much do whatever you can do in any given Western country.

You mean there are no strip clubs and casinos in Iran? Maybe if Armenia stopped trying to be the Las Vegas of the Caucasus, it wouldn't draw so much attention. Gotta love them Ukranian dancers though. They seem to be popular in Canada too.... go figure.

Yeah I thought I saw that strip club, right near the main mosque in downtown Tehran, I remember it featured some American dancers

Look man, they don't even allow the teaching of music in private schools, you really expect there to be even a hint of strip clubs and casinos?

I've noticed always when it comes to Armenia's demographics, about 1% of Armenia's population are Russian - I wonder for what purpose

NOTE: Iran has to be one of the most misrepresented countries in the world -- it's certainly not a perfect place, and no place is, but reality and what you may have heard are two different things.

It's the truthful opinion of the people in the video - but their opinions are formed by it their age and personal characteristics too. None of them agreed with each other 100%. I don't think the video is propaganda - but in a different city, and asked of people that are older, you might get different responses.
