As Mubariz Ahmedoglu noted, to spite Azerbaijan, Iran is even ready to cooperate with U.S. and Israel.

My friend made this video - he is Armenian. (He's made a few little mistakes though ... but it's generally an excellent video.)

GOOD POINTS IN THE VIDEO:
* Arran = The Real Name of The Republic of Azerbaijan (synonomous with Arran = Iran = Aryan; part of Pers-Armenia)
* Turkification process of Khazars / Ottomans / Mongol-Turks
* Safavid Empire = Pers-Armenia recovered half of Western Armenia back from the Ottomans. A very good time for Armenians.
* 6:43 is where some of the really bad Turkification took place.
* Very important point at 7:00 - The stealing of Persian-Azari identity (it has nothing to do with Turks) - trust me, a lot of Iranian-Azaris are angry about a bunch of Khazars stealing their identity. (I've said it before: Aliyev does not look like anyone from historic Iran.)
* He pointed out that Russia/Stalin permitted Turkification to continue - a HUGE mistake that everyone is paying for today, including Russia.

A LITTLE MISTAKE:
* 3:05 original name of the province of Azerbaijan in Iran was Ator-pat-kan (morphed into Azer-bai-jan over time as languages evolve and change). Atorpat was a Persian general (the name means protected by fire) - it has NOTHING to do with the Turks. They stole that name (if anyone doesn't know that the Turks do this, see the link on Pan-Turkism.)
* He should point out that many in Armenia's houses of nobility were in fact the grandchildren of Cyrus The Great and his progeny.

Most dealings between Russia and Iran impacts upon Armenia .... Russia couldn't control Afghanistan, the U.S. hasn't proven it can, and Iran historically has been able to. http://www.presstv.ir/detail/173189.html It seems Russia & Iran will cooperate to counteract the U.S. (which has caused heroin production to skyrocket)

Iran and Russia have underlined the need for joint cooperation to help restore stability in Afghanistan ahead of a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on the war-ravaged country.

Head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Afghanistan Headquarters Mohsen Pak-Ayin and Russian president's special envoy to Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov met and held talks on Afghanistan, Mehr news agency reported Tuesday.

In the meeting, the two officials called for more cooperation in the campaign against drug trafficking and terrorism to help bring back security to Afghanistan.

Pak-Ayin said that Tehran and Moscow should devise a joint plan to expand cooperation over Afghanistan.

Kabulov, who was formerly Russia's ambassador to Afghanistan, also expressed Moscow's readiness to work with Tehran to contribute to the restoration of peace in Afghanistan. * * * [read more at link]

Quite frankly, if your views are representative of the majority of Armenians - I would be in favor of taking down all of the Genocide Memorials in Iran and sending them to Armenia to put up in your bedroom and then sealing-off the border.

Let's not be hasty and say things which we do not mean and wouldn't likely occur at all.

Trust me, Iran doesn't need your BS; and you're running out of friends in the neighborhood. Don't come crying to us again when Yerevan is named Turkistan.

Iran needs a stable partner in the area who is also not a rival and is not working against them. No other nation which currently borders Iran fits this description except for Armenia. Yerevan and the rest of Armenia are just fine thanks to our strategic relations with Russia. Plus, the last thing Iran wants is turkey to expand into the Caucasus directly, so they will not tolerate it either, regardless how close their current relations may be, they're still geopolitical rivals.

If you disgrace the tens of thousands of Iranian soldiers who have given up their lives protecting Armenia for centuries, you deserve whatever the Turks have planned for you.

Iranian soldiers died for their country, Iran. Same as Russian soldiers who died fighting the turks. Thank you to both Russians and Iranians for this but let's not assume it was purely out of brotherhood that this was done. At least not on the strategic level.

Let me ask you a question: When will native-Armenians apologize to the Armenian diaspora for leaving the union with Iran, conceding land to Turkey, and rendering Armenians vulnerable to Genocide by Turks when Iran had successfully defended Armenia for centuries?

Armenia was never in a union with Iran, perhaps in very ancient times when our peoples were one tribe, Armeno-Aryans, but that was thousands of years ago. Had the Russian Revolution not occured the Genocide would have been less severe and Armenia's lands today would be larger.

And just wait until the border with Turkey opens up without Iran at your side - you will love it.

Again, Iran is not going anywhere, and they will have a leg or two up on the turks if the border is opened because Iranians have been doing business in Armenia and with Armenians since 1991, whereas turkey would have to play catch up.
