    Re: Iranian-Armenian relations

Greeks and Persians get along perfectly - those ancient battles were just that, "ancient." Even when Alexander the Great came to Persia, the first people he fought with were the Armenians (the Persian empire was protected from the North by Armenia); By the time Alexander worked his way South, he encouraged his Army to take Persian wives, and changed his views. Any way, modern day Greeks are good people, and we can't blame the average Greek for what Alexander did or didn't do. Alexander also killed many members of his own family - so he was a bit nuts.

Actually, I agree with both of you; But it's Israel that's putting bullets in the Azerbaijani gun that's pointed at Armenia. I'm sure you know about the weapons deals being made in exchange for oil and gas.

Alexander avoided Armenia, he was an intelligent commander and knew better than to lead his forces and supply lines to mountainous terrain where he and his forces would meet the famed Armenian heavy cavalry. Armenians who were serving with Darius' army did indeed fight alongside the Persians.

So are many other countries such as Ukraine, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, China, and so on. They have oil, they have resources, so most countries will wish to support Azerbaijan. Doesn't mean all those countries are mortal enemies of Armenia, except Turkey for historic reasons, and Pakistan is enemy because it doesn't recognise Armenia's right to exist!

Let's just leave it at, 'israel is not an ally of any sort to Armenia'.

I never said Israel was ally of Armenia, just that Israel is not an enemy of Armenia like Persopolis was suggesting. Our main and most reliable ally is Russia.

j3wish/Israeli Lobby group has often supported Turkish issues in the US because of Israel's partnership with Turkey, though since Turkey are Israel are no more friends and actually foes, the j3wish lobby has refused to support Turkish issues, and will allow Genocide resolution to pass, even suggesting that it may help Armenian lobby with it.

Though you still haven't directly answered why Iran's government has not gone through the process of recognising Armenian genocide, have they ever even brought it up?

My friend, I can't speak for the Iranian government, but there are dozens of memorials in Iran recognizing the Turkish genocide of Armenians. Please remember that Iranians were among the first to speak up, and you won't find similar memorials in Turkey, Israel, or even the U.S. like the one by Iran below. Actions speak louder than words:

Memorials are nice, but they don't reflect government's position. To make a memorial all you need is money and some cooperation with local politicians which isn't to hard to get if you have money. There are Armenian Genocide memorials anywhere there's sizeable Armenian community, since especially the Diaspora and Western Armenians feel strongly about this as they are the descendents of the survivors.
