Since when was Francophobia, Anglophobia, Germanophobia, etc... a good thing? Is Turkophobia a good thing for Turks? Sure it has the effect of scaring the population from some enemy force, whether real or perceived, but it also limits those oppressed feeling people from experiencing the fruits of those other cultures and being able to create new opportunities for growth with them.

Armenophobia is not a good thing, even if it means Armenians coagulate better under the feelings of oppression it breeds. If we need Armenophobia to survive, it's a sign that we lack self confidence and a natural inner strength. It's understandable if we're just recovering from the genocide days, but it's not necessary now. And if xxxs need it to survive, poor them. I'm not impressed.

I don't think there's a strong international thing called Armenophobia, like that against Jews for instance. This is only an issue regarding the genocidal Turks. They know they have killed the landlord, destroyed their property and stolen their land and as thieves are scared crapless that the descendants may one day be strong enough to kick their hairless Tatar asses back to Mongolia, they keep on hating us.

Most of the other nations don't even know we exist. The reason the Judeo-Saxon empire, the EU and Russia don't give a damn about our cause and always support the genocidal Turks comes from their (supposed) national interests, their irrational adoration of the Cult of Turk Phallus and mainly the stinking, lousy diplomacy of our statesmen throughout history, not just now.

No offense gegev, but one thing religion doesn't absolutely do is opening eyes. Religion tells you to shut down your logic and BLINDLY believe whatever gobbledygook some rotten desert text shoves into your head is the unquestionable world of god, the supposed creator of this endless (in terms of both time and space) universe.

I thought the ancient Greeks knew the earth was round and could calculate it's diameter....

How beautiful it would be if the beliefs of ancient Greeks (well, not all of those beliefs) would serve as the foundation of the religion of the 3 or 4 billion mass of followers of the so-called Abrahamic death cults, the illogical emissions of rotten “brains” of some ignorant desert rabbis, copying some Egyptian fable here, some Babylonian “law” there with later addition of some ancient Iranian myths like the afterlife.

For instance, I always fantasized what a great country Iran would be today had they based their religion on Ferdowsi's Shahnameh rather than the hateful desert text plus later inventions of Shiite mullahs...

If some people in Armenia will preach Islam and Armenians would oppose them, without killing the preachers (complying with our religion commandments), as opposed to Turks; would that mean; we are intolerant.

Do we mess with the Muslims who preach at the Blue Mosque? Are they subject to repression in Armenia? Does the government takes measures against they having their own community formed (as the Kurds do)? Are they subject to forced "Armenification" and forced conversion to Christianity? Have we ever started violent riots against them? Have we ever started publicly speaking about how they are a trouble in our country and should be taken somewhere else because they don't fit our society?

Nope. We can oppose them personally, we can have certain feelings against their religion...but Muslim people in Armenia live a normal life, we don't mess with them...they don't mess with us. They can have their beliefs, we have ours.

So yeah you can be intolerant to them, don't like them, feel apprehension to them and everything. But taking that to the level of hate speech and violent actions, repression and other measures against them having a different religion has not been present in Armenia or by Armenians.

There are different levels of intolerance. But they respect us, so we respect them.

I have been thinking and saying that for many years. It is good to see other Armenians who care about the Armenian people and country yet are not blinded by religion.
