We don't have many friends in this world; this is a fact we have to get used to. We try to designate certain countries as "our allies" or "our brothers" but all that is foolish and naive. Nations will only use Armenia for their own advantage, because after all we are small, not many natural resources and really not very important in the international stage. You have to get over the illusion that there are countries that genuinely care about our interests and helping us.

The fact that the OIC is condemning so-called "Armenian aggression" is not because Muslims are not our friends or hate us etc. but because 1) as lampron and Joseph said 'lip service' and 2) Armenian diplomatic failure in the Middle East. Instead of running away from Muslim countries (funny how the entire world is trying to do the opposite?), we should reach out to them and strengthen relations. Armenia has failed to utilise the Armenian Diasporan presence in the Middle East effectively and it is usually the same Diaspora looking out for Armenia's interest. Why do you think Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Egypt do not vote against Armenia in UN resolutions while the rest of the Islamic World does? It is because of the Armenian presence in these countries and those communities' influence. Why doesn't Armenia demand an explanation from the UAE, for example, with whom it has good relations and lots of trade? We need to stop being so passive.

Unless the departure destination is Armenia, if anything Armenians should stay wherever they are in Islamic countries. Armenians in the Middle East have assimilated the least from anywhere in the world while those Armenians in the EU and especially North America do not seem to last a single generation these days.

Having said the above can you specify how they will "use"
Armenia and what "advantage" they will try to gain.

Agree 100%. Nor does the OIC even really matter. For christsakes, the OIC can't even agree how to help the Palestinians.

I am sure that the Islamic countries are conscious of the cordial relations between Azerbaijan and Israel. This is shown for instance in the Azeri quietness in the recent flotilla issue. Self-respecting Arab and Islamic nations (for instance Iran) would not support Azerbaijan because of its good relations with Israel.

If Azerbaijan is openly getting more attention nowadays, it is only because of its abundant natural resources. Such support by Islamic countries cannot come without cost for Azerbaijan... I wonder what closed-door deals are concluded with the Azeris in exchange of apparent support in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Additionally, oil exporting Arab states are in competition with Azerbaijan with respect to oil. It is all pan-Islamic lip service and nothing more.

That's correct. Muslims are supposed to all agree with each other when there is a non-Muslim party involved in a dispute, even when deep down, they may not be in agreement at all.

I have been told by Armenians from Egypt that during the Karabakh war the Egyptian media (which is close to the government) was neutral. On the other hand Saudi Arabia which is hardline Islamist, is probably pro-Azerbaijan (and countries like Jordan and Oman, Kuwait etc that fall inside the Saudi orbit, may also tilt toward Azerbaijan)
