Simplest way to help armenia is to go visit for a few weeks, this not only helps the economy, it encourages the goverment to care about tourism, and you also see your motherland like im doing now!

Prime Minister Sarkisian urges Armenian Diaspora businessmen to invest in Armenia

YEREVAN, June 17. / ARKA /. Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian urged Thursday Armenian Diaspora businessmen to invest in Armenia when attending the opening of a new hotel ‘Ani Resort Hanqavan’ in the resort town of Ankavan in central Kotayk province. The hotel was built by an American Armenian businessman Sedrak Achemyan, who has invested $7.5 million in it. The prime minister said the opening of this hotel complex was particularly important given the fact that tourism was announced a government priority.

"It is also important that our Diaspora partner is investing not in Yerevan, as most investors do, but outside it. A proportional development of regions is another government priority’, he said.

The construction of Ani Resort Hanqavan was launched in 2008. Located 55 kilometers from Yerevan it has 40 rooms and 12 cottages which can accommodate up to 140 guests. It has also a conference hall equipped with modern technology for 80 people. There are football and volleyball fields, tennis courts, a gym, sauna, a swimming pool, a game room, a children's room, as well as a traditional Armenian bakery.

Later the owner plans to build a farm for growing agricultural products. The cost of a room begins with 25 thousand drams per day. ($ 1 - 375.67 AMD). -0-

Of course Karo, we all are encouraged and proud that are diasporan businessmen are investing in Armenia and helping the country develop. However, what I'm saying is that although not every diasporan has the means to help out in such significant ways, every Armenian can certainly help out in their own way, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. I want everyone involved in the process.
