You also may not:

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Lived in Greece for many years before it become part of the EU. It wasn’t a wealthy country. People had at least couple homes and a home on one of the islands (summer home).
Import taxes were very high. Cars selling around the world for $14.000 were selling around $40.000. Yet the Greeks always managed to buy a car on their $500 monthly salary by saving.
They worked few hours a day and lived a happy life.
Than came the promises of the EU. As in you need infrastructure, Olympic, all the garbage that EU was willing to sell them on Credit. After all, they are part of EU what can go wrong?
Now they are the slaves of Germany and England and some shady multi layered retirement funds of older Northern Europeans. And they did not have any "Hassans".

US approves nearly $300 million weapons deal to Kurdish Peshmerga
        By Paul Antonopoulos - 21/04/2017

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:12 P.M.) – The US State Department has approved a possible sale of military equipment to the Peshmerga to an estimated cost of $295.6 million, according to Rudaw.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement on Wednesday that the weapons deal will be enough to fully outfit two Peshmerga light infantry brigades and two support artillery battalions.

Although the sale has not been finalized yet, some of the equipment the Peshmerga has requested including machine guns, armored vehicles, body armor, small arms, chemical weapon detection and protection equipment, medical equipment, MRAPs, and ambulances.

The sale would assist in the defeat of ISIS, the statement said, adding it would not “alter the basic military balance in the region.”

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s President, Barzani, has said in recent times that the region will seek and push for independence.

Syrian Army knocks out 6 tanks, 30 technicals amid northern Hama battle – full report
          By Chris Tomson - 21/04/2017

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) seized loads of war booty in northern Hama yesterday as the battle for Taibat Al-Imam saw truckloads of jihadist militants killed and many armored vehicles immobilized.

In the aftermath of the SAA’s offensive, a source embedded with the Tiger Forces told Al-Masdar News that 6 tanks, over 30 technicals fitted with 23mm machineguns, one BMP-1 and two ammunition storages were destroyed after 72 hours of clashes in Taibat Al-Imam.

Participating in the Taibat Al-Imam battle were Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS), Jaish Al-Izza (FSA), Ahrar Al-Sham and Jabhat Al-Shamiyah. HTS commanders led the jihadist fighting force while other rebel factions reinforced the front ahead of the looming SAA assault.

In addition, Syrian government forces captured a handful of prisoners of war, 11 Howitzer artillery guns, 4 anti-tank missile launchers, 3 hell cannons, 4 mortar cannons along with tons of armaments and ammunition.

The source added that many foreign fighters were discovered dead across the town; ID papers showed HTS militants originating from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Tunisia and Indonesia.

Syria moves all its fighter jets to Russian base
            debka

Syria has moved all its fighter aircraft to the Russian Hmeimim air base in Latakia three weeks after 59 US Tomahawk cruise missiles knocked out one-fifth of its air force at the Shayrat base, in retaliation for a chemical attack on civilians in Idlib. This was reported Wednesday night, April 19, by the Pentagon. The Russian high command in Syria has its seat at that base.
DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the Syrian air force will operate henceforth under Russian protection and behind the advanced Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense shield without fear of US reprisals.
President Vladimir Putin’s response to the Trump administration’s call to distance Moscow from the Assad regime is therefore a flat rejection. He is instead fortifying Russian support for that regime.
The upsurge of Russian-US military tension places at risk the operational coordination accords prevailing between the air forces of Russia, the US and Israel in Syrian skies.
Syrian operational staff officers working in Hmeimim will now have access to the advanced Russian surveillance instruments tracking the movements of all foreign aircraft moving through Syrian air space. Syrian intelligence officers will also be close to Russian SIGINT facilities which the Russian spy agency GRU has installed there. In other words, by a single move, the Russians have substantially upgraded the Syrian air force’s operational and intelligence capabilities.
How does this affect the Syrian and Iranian air freight traffic ferrying military supplies from Iran? Where will they deliver their cargoes? Will they too be allowed to land at the Russian base in Latakia? If they are, the Israeli air force will be prevented from cutting down the flow of Iranian weapons for Hizballah. The new move more or less buries the Russian-Israeli agreements covering Syrian skies.
The Pentagon disclosure came ironically just hours after a senior Israeli military officer confidently informed military correspondents in Tel Aviv that the mechanism introduced for Russian-Israeli air force coordination in Syria had been successfully adopted by other nations operating in Syria, such as Turkey and the United States. He reported that the arrangement included reciprocal visits once every two months by heads of the operations divisions of the two armies.
These visits will probably go the same way now as the entire arrangement.

Greece as well as the Greek part of Cyprus joined the EU for the prestige of being a part of a rich club of nations, but additionally to use the EU to improve their security against future threats from Turkey

They since discovered that the threat from Turkey remained exactly the same as before they became members and their security did not improve

How the latest military technology helped the Syrian forces win Hama battle [video + photos]
                      By Zen Adra - 24/04/2017

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:15 A.M.) – For most observers, the victory recently achieved by the Syrian government forces is – to a large extend – attributed to the huge firepower and highly-experienced troops of the Army’s elite Tiger Forces as well as the effective and extremely precise Russian airstrikes.

However, new evidence shows the role played by the avant-garde military technology utilized by the Syrian forces in tipping the balance in northern Hama battleground.

Photos recently released on social media clearly display Syrian soldiers deploying Drone Jammers type Battelle DroneDefender used to take down hostile drones by totally disrupting its control system and preventing remote actions – including detonation – to be carried out.

Below in al illustrative video of the Battelle DroneDefender system.

“The Battelle DroneDefender systems are non-kinetic cUAS solutions developed to instantaneously defend airspace against commercial drones without compromising safety or risking collateral damage. The systems quickly disrupt an adversary’s control of a drone, neutralizing it so that no remote action, including detonation, can occur, minimizing drone damage and risk to public safety.” Source: https://www.battelle.org/government-...S-technologies

Jihadi groups fighting the Syrian government – most notably ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra – are extensively using advanced drones to pinpoint the Syrian Army’s locations, find out about troops deployment, and film suicide attacks and propaganda footages.

The groups even managed to arm the drones with small bombs usually dropped over gatherings of soldiers or military vehicles.
