Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

TURKEY PLANS TO SUE CANADIAN MOVIE DIRECTOR

    ArmenPress News Agency
    Nov 28 2001

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS The Turkish government intends
to institute legal proceedings against "propagandizing hatred and
defaming Turkish people", in against a Canadian-Armenian well-known
    film director Atom Egoyan.

According to the Turkish Star daily, Atom Egoyan's new film
'Ararat', describing the Armenian Genocide, raised much noise.

As the daily notes, it was impossible to prevent the shooting of
the film, financed by the Miramax Film Company, by any legal means,
and it is expected to be shown in May. According to Star, after
showing the film in France, Canada and USA the Turkish authorities
will institute legal proceedings, aiming to ban showing the film.

It should be mentioned that Turkey will not be satisfied with
legal claims only, it has already called on all the world Turkish
organizations to take active measures to prevent the film shooting
    and ban its showing.

According to Star, Turkey in its turn will start shooting its own
film, describing the "violences" of Armenian and Russian army in Van
    and Kars in 1915-1919.

Egoyan intends to present this film to Oscar Prize, and show the
first night at Cannes film festival. Star daily is much concerned
about a number of scenes, which show atrocities of Turks towards
    Armenians in those years.

The Turks don't have to worry about the movie "propagandizing" hatred against the turks, they are already hated by many. the movie just shows the world what really happened. It's about time they are held responsible for what they did. they can't win a law suit over Egoyan's mild portrayal of what they did. [/b]

I'm afraid the imperial masters of the US Empire have Turkey as their ally and so that helps hush up whatever talk there is of the genocide.

Another thing adding to the soup is the Holocaust. It attracts more attention and has been commercially exploited by Jews to the point of insanity. One might as well have a Trade Mark symbol after it.

1st of all...the turks are animals and deserve 2 b treated accordingly. :x i live in sydney, australia...and as far as i know...my agoump is the only 1 in sydney that has viewed the movie.

the truth hurts. in 1915, 1.8 million Armenians were slaughtered by the turks like animals. ofcourse theyre gna sue...they dont want 2 ever b brought 2 justice.! turkey sued microsoft 4 mentioning the Armenian Genocide in their Encarta program. Do u honestly think that if the situations were reversed, the turks would let us 4get what happened? ofcourse not.

God will show the turks the same mercy they showed us...NONE...i pray 4 the day where a turk begs an Armenian 4 his life...just as we begged...i wait 4 the day i can fly an Armenian flag over the summits of Ararat...

Turkey is the dumbest and hated country in the world!

I think there should be more movies not only about the Armenian Genocide but the Armenian community as well. Not only make the turks,Azeeris mad but to make it known. Because Turkey is trying to demolish the Armenian Diaspora!

It's not the turks that are trying to ruin the armenian diaspora. It's the armenian diaspora.

                  turkey is GAY

turkey can do whatever they want, they cannot sue anyone for showing the truth..... they can pretend and threaten to sue, to discourage us from showing the truth, but thats about as far as their big words can go, even the countries that have not recognized the genocide now, still know it happened, it is just not in their interest to recognize it at the moment, but the whole world knows it happened.... USA will do it soon, then turkey will not have anyone to run to...... all a matter of time, and nobody can beat time....
