Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I don't care if it's progressive or not. It is just the only thing that comes close to guaranteeing my country's survival.

We've lived in the same country as the Turks, the Russians, the Azeris, the Persians and many others, and we have pretty much always been disadvantaged or disregarded. I love my country and my people waaaaay too much to try that again.

      Right
Why do you keep stating its your country? Whose running it my dear Baron? The only way it could be your country if you were in the Armenian Ruling class.
answer me this, "Which class has power over Armenia?" simple question, please answer me.

"Did you compare Zoravar Antranig to this idiot?"

      - Yes, look from the Turks percpective, gonna be exactly the same as your, coz those with power (ruling class) have the power to retard history, and both our ruling classes have done this.

"In war times, yes. Have you heard about the Azeri woman living in Stepanakert who is actually employed by the National Radio Station of Artsakh?"

      - Well done, anecdotal evidence.
What about the graves of those with Azeri surnames on them which have been smashed all across Armenia? and are now used as rubbish pits? People still flee because they have an Azeri husband/wife and they cant live in Armenia.

      Enger Mouse,
im actually in the middle of a booklet learning about historical materialism, what is your point, maybe i can learn and correct myself?

Why is it my country? Because my people live there. My language is spoken there. My songs are sung there.
Sure, the political situation isn't the best now, but we must strive to make it better. A simple question for you: who had power in Soviet Armenia? The Armenian workers riiiiiight?

Zoravar Antranig was a military general to whom we probably owe Armenia's existence today. Comparing him to a guy who kills another soldier in his sleep is senseless. And the situations are very different too.

I think that has mostly been done out of frustration towards the fact that anything Armenian in Nakhichevan has been pillaged (and Western Armenia), and the same was going to happen to anything Armenian that was in Artsakh.

See, that's my point. To renovate not destroy.

ive been to that mosque on 2 occasians and its bombeed to a thousand pieces, its not even a mosque anymore. So "Artzakhti" dont tell me the Armenian Army didnt touch their mosques....thats just a lie.

"Why is it my country? Because my people live there. My language is spoken there. My songs are sung there.

the same applies to Glendale, i dont see you going to Glendale. This shows how illogical your argument is. You go to Narmak in Tehran and everythin is in Armenian, is that Armenia? according to your specific factors taken into consideration, yet it is...
Concerning Soviet Armenia a) it was the victim of Stalinist degeneration, but at least the CP beurocrats were Armenian. Even then the armenian people had more control and influence over what happened.

"I think that has mostly been done out of frustration towards the fact that anything Armenian in Nakhichevan has been pillaged (and Western Armenia), and the same was going to happen to anything Armenian that was in Artsakh."
                  - And i suppose the Azeris did it because they have an anti-armo gene did they?
-No they did it because their beurocrats were stirring nationalist hatred up because they knew the union was gonna split. This is what happens when you open up the communist party to non-communists.
                  - The Armenians who continue to smash these graves do so because they too have been influenced by nationalist hatred by the government, hence why you have programs about the military EVERY DAY on the national TV. the same occurs on the azeri side.

"What about so many armenian churches and sacred places that've been destroyed during the war. They even kept their guns in our church in Baku, couse they knew that we would never bomb our holy church!"

-I personally would have blown the church up, and not been a dogmatic idiot. Yes, let the people being shot at by the bullets from the depot die, but as long as we have an institution which fools the masses, we shall live on...

Also baron danz, you did well to just skip the bit where i asked you "Which class has power over Armenia?" simple question, please answer me". Can you give it another go maybe?

Alright, so non communists will never be involved in the decision making process right? Hooray for progress. I smell totalitarianism...

Glendale Shmendale.....lame comparison. Armenia is HISTORICALLY Armenian. That is where our forefathers, and their forefathers and their forefathers came from. That is where our history has been created. Not Glendale.

And my reply to "who is running Armenia now" was "who was running Armenia back in the Soviet days?" Ooh, at least the CP members were Armenian. So are Kocharian, Sarksyan, etc....And they don't have a Stalin on top of them at least.

For the last time, it was not bombed by our army, it might be a little bit ruined..noothing more.
