Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

"For the last time, it was not bombed by our army, it might be a little bit ruined..noothing more.
Stop with your bull xxxx, i'm from Stepanakert...and all my family is there, i'm not just sitting here and making a fairy tales."
Why was it ruined? freak tornade during the war, what a coincidence.

"Alright, so non communists will never be involved in the decision making process right? Hooray for progress. I smell totalitarianism..."
Nah, if you read up on marxism, or leninism, you'd know everyone was involved except for fascists.

"Glendale Shmendale.....lame comparison. Armenia is HISTORICALLY Armenian. That is where our forefathers, and their forefathers and their forefathers came from. That is where our history has been created. Not Glendale."
-I dont want to carry this point too far, but how is Glendale different qualititively to Armenia? surely there werent ARmenians always in what is today called Armenia?

"And my reply to "who is running Armenia now" was "who was running Armenia back in the Soviet days?" Ooh, at least the CP members were Armenian. So are Kocharian, Sarksyan, etc....And they don't have a Stalin on top of them at least."

If you didnt like your CP member, they were there for immediate recall. But now we dont even have a deformed workers democracy, it is a liberal bourgeoise democracy, which is simply a shell for the capitalists to operate in.
Kocharyan has nothing in common with the worker in Armenia.

Now answer me this for the 3rd time, which class controls Armenia?

Have you been to Shushi? Did you happen to notice that EVERY SINGLE BUILDING IS DESTROYED? The hospital, the school, the museum, everything. The mosque is just one damaged building out of thousands and thousands.

So, everyone can participate in the government in a communist regime......as long as he's a member of the Communist Party right?

And recalling your CP member would change things how? He'd just be replaced by another CP member, wouldn't he?

Never said the armenian government is perfect, and that change isn't needed....but I'd take it anyday over the "communist democracy".

At the very least, people are at least allowed to voice their discontent with the current government. I'd like to see what Aram Sargsian and Stepan Demirchian would be doing back in the communist days. As soon as some freedom of speech was allowed in the USSR, what happened? It collapsed.

Oh, and who controls Armenia? The rich. It's unfortunate, but it's the reality as of right now. Who controlled the USSR? The workers right? Unless they were too busy being exiled to Siberia...

-Yes ive been to Shushi twice, and most of buildings are destoyed, what you want a gold medal for observation?

"So, everyone can participate in the government in a communist regime......as long as he's a member of the Communist Party right?"
-Nope, incorrect yet again, Lenin stated even capitalists can compete in an election under whatever different party, only fascists cant.

"And recalling your CP member would change things how? He'd just be replaced by another CP member, wouldn't he? "
No, you managed to get a conclusion, from facts you dont have, very well done. As i said, in a true socialist state you could have whoever from whatever party

"Never said the armenian government is perfect, and that change isn't needed....but I'd take it anyday over the "communist democracy"."
-Yeah, well, those eastern states who have experienced deformeed socialism and capitalism PREFER deformed socialism, please look at polls. As you have never experienced both, i dont think you can base a valid opinion.

"At the very least, people are at least allowed to voice their discontent with the current government. I'd like to see what Aram Sargsian and Stepan Demirchian would be doing back in the communist days. As soon as some freedom of speech was allowed in the USSR, what happened? It collapsed."
Christ, your dumber than i thought, it collapsed due to the economy, which was being clogged up by the disgusting beurocracy which had developed under Stalin. Read Trotsky's "Revolution Betrayed" if you want to know more and get out of your ignorant state.

"Oh, and who controls Armenia? The rich. It's unfortunate, but it's the reality as of right now. Who controlled the USSR? The workers right? Unless they were too busy being exiled to Siberia..."
"The Rich", very scientific. I asked you which class controls Armenia, this is the Capitalist Class, and will be the case until the system is smashed. Workers werent exileed to Siberia, it was the intelligensia, again you highlight your complete ignorance

You should work on your attitude. You really seem to have anger issues. It's quite annoying. I bet you feel real superior and start smiling when you say things like "oo, you want a gold medal for observation?" or "you're dumber than I thought you were". Oh well, whatever makes you happy. I'd rather just talk normally.

My point about Shushi is, the Mosque wasn't deliberately attacked. It was just part of a city where EVERYTHING got destroyed.

So Lenin said that? Good for him. How many people that weren't part of the CP have been elected in Soviet history?

And you're telling me that the demonstrations in the Baltic states, and those in Armenia and Artsakh had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the fall of the USSR right?

Ever heard of the Ukranian farmers that were against collectivisation? What happened to them? If they weren't exiled, they died because of an artificial famine. About 5 million deaths were caused there. Yeah, the CP really DID care about the working class.

Nah, i dont feel superior, i just have to entertain myself really, because it gets boring repeating myself.
But, i accept it could be rather annoying, so i shall stop, on the grounds you stop making false accusations, and 'witty' comments such as "Alright, so non communists will never be involved in the decision making process right? Hooray for progress. I smell totalitarianism..."
            Know what i mean?

"My point about Shushi is, the Mosque wasn't deliberately attacked. It was just part of a city where EVERYTHING got destroyed."
Everything didnt get distroyed, a lot did, but not everything. The mosque was particularly smashed however. Do you have any evidence that "the Mosque wasn't deliberately attacked" or you just making that up?

"So Lenin said that? Good for him. How many people that weren't part of the CP have been elected in Soviet history?"
-This is why Trotsky's line was to form a Left Opposition inside the Soviet Union, to get rid of the undemocratic processes that were taking place. Lets not forget how many none capitalist class have been in congress...

And you're telling me that the demonstrations in the Baltic states, and those in Armenia and Artsakh had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the fall of the USSR right?
"These demonstations concerned material situations, ie economy, and for the most part were not ideological. The same case was in the DDR, the people wanted unification, not capitalism

"Ever heard of the Ukranian farmers that were against collectivisation? What happened to them? If they weren't exiled, they died because of an artificial famine. About 5 million deaths were caused there. Yeah, the CP really DID care about the working class."
-Did you know the capitalist class who owned the land burnt the wheat which caused the famine?
-The problem was the peasants themselves should have taken the land over, not the army. This was the problem with Stalins opportunist line, where he at one point lent on support of these rich land owners, and then attacked them, no principles.

+Do you think under the capitalist system the working class will be given power through current system, ie liberal bourgeoise democracy?

+You nicely danced over the point i made "how is Glendale different qualititively to Armenia? surely there werent Armenians always in what is today called Armenia?"

+Do you deny there are class' and class conflict in Armenia?

+Which class do you think Kocharyan works for?
