We do not have to be thankful for the Latin nor to other influences, our alphabet was influenced by our own culture and the writing systems that were found within the Armenian lands more than a thousand years prior when latin was not even around yet.

3/5 of europe stole their alphabet not from the Italians but from the Romans. There are no more pure Romans my friend. Italians are a mix of Romans and Germanic tribes.

Children are told that Mesrob Mashdots gave the georgians all the letters he didnt like for the Armenian alphabet, im surprised you still believe this...

I don't knwo who taught you that but, Mesrob Mashtotz didnt give all the letter he didnt like to the georgians, He invented a completely new alphabet for them, in which the Armenian alphabetical elements can be seen, go look at the Georgian Alphabet and you will see.

here it also mentions Mesrob Mashdotz as the founder of the Georgian earlier alphabet, which evolved into what it is now.

It's not so much that you should agree with Marxism, it's that you should hold yourself open to other ideas, that might contain truth. Everything contains a bit of truth and if you close yourself to one, you are closing yourself to all.

Strangely enough those that contend "you are narrowminded" to the opposing side are often the ones that don't look beyond their borders of thought.

Small Armenian communities existed in Ethiopia as early as the 7th century, possibly due to the ties between the Armenian and Ethiopian churches. By late 19th century, Armenians had gained prominence in business, government, and diplomacy.

The tie between the churchs was very great and the Armenians had very prominent roles in ethiopia, this played a very important role in the influencing of the letters, yes it was not mesrop who did it but Armenians did have cultural and religious influences in ethiopia.

Heck my Ethiopian co-worker told me that the Armenians influenced their letters.

The reason their church is so similar to ours is because we had some of the first missionaries down there. its pretty interesting. Thanks for the info vrej, and thanks for stuffing the words back into this stupid communist's mouth.
