Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Let's see, who does that remind us of... perhaps a certain Hayq who is utterly set on seeing Armenia fall in the next 20 years despite the near impossibility of such things happen... someone who even when confronted with mounds of facts continues to make outrageous claims without backing them up with anything factual, or when he does throw out some figures they are either extremely overinflated and/or plain made up? I am certainly willing to concede that you have a brain, but you have yet to give us any reasons to believe that so far. Please stop basing all your arguements on near impossibilities like Armenia becoming a swirling vortex in the middle of the Caucausus in the next decade and that everything that is being done there is only making it worse. Instead, either give us real reasons to back up your claims, or at least have more of an open mind to the insane notion that just maybe not everything going on in the entire country is terrible.
Whether or not Armenia will be anything in the next 20 years is irrelivant. What can you do you do to help ??? Simple question suiting similar physical makeup.

Originally posted by HayqYour facts that Armenia will be anything in the next 20 years are inconsistant with the Armenian population declining.
(arbitrary number here) let's say one million Armenians have left Armenia in the past 10 years (not sure of the exact). You seem to be thinking that it means in the next 10 years, keeping with the current "trend", another 1 million will leave, and the next 10 years the last 1 million leaves, leaving Armenia empty. Then it will disappear as you say. Do you REALLY think that's possible? No! The first 10 years were very dire, there were so many awful problems. While of course there are still bad problems, I agree with you, you must admit some like 3 hours of electricity a day, no running water nearly all of the day, being thrust out of a Soviet system that had been stuck in for 70 years, and all kinds of reasons that made life unbearable are no longer major issues for most of the country. Nearly all of it has running water and 24 hour electricity now, and things are being improved. They are trying their best to adjust out of the Soviet system and people are getting the hang of independence. Things are slow, and people will still leave, but also many just go to Russia for work, and return part of the year. Life is much more bearable and people are willing to give Armenia a chance. The conditions that caused the exodus, while certainly not gone, are better than they were so you can't expect 1 million to leave per decade. Every decade is different.

It is still a major problem which I am very saddened by, but here's how you seem to have a very naive way of looking at it, namely:

So please, rather than argue solutions at hand,,, what are your beliefs???

Originally posted by IAmMadAtACDidn't I state them...? I believe we must of course continue to pursue making life better in Armenia so people won't leave, but also don't believe the current trend you speak of is extremely misleading. I firmly believe that the 1 million some that left in the past 10 years is the bulk of the exodus, and that while others will continue to leave it certainly won't be in the extreme numbers you claim it will continue to be in. I cannot go into the exact methods of solutions for Armenia's current problems because I don't know exactly what they all are.

Kool... so remove thread. When people cannot just respond as the thread asks, does that not make the thread pointless?
I am all for removing pointless things.
