I started this thread because I read some posts by some members here making making uncalled for statements against people that are coming here to find their true Identity because their families were isolated at some point or people that were left in Turkey or what ever.

I never thought that I was going to be defending my self. The idea of another Armenian isolating and putting me in a different group than them selfs was weird. What really bothered me was that it reminded of the way some red-necks use to treat me in high school simply because I didn't have an American name or my skin color did not match their own. But thats was expected by them. I wasn't the only one they treated that way.

Theres two types of Armenians in the US, the ones whos grandparents came over during the genocide and then the ones who came in the 80/90s.
They both act like two different races of people. The ones who came during the genocide act like All American people, you wouldnt know their Armenian unless they told you, The ones in the 80s/90s act like Dominicans or Puerto Rican immigrants.

Sorry to say it but the new Armenian immigrants are very much like Puerto Ricans and Dominicans in the US. Its pretty sad, im so glad my grandparents died before they saw all this.

Are you sure that your Grandparents wouldn't have been ashamed to see a person who has, probably, benefited from their hard work, affection, love and sacrifices, is casting out a socio-cultural group where they once belonged, the way they could have been casted out? Don't you think that they would have been ashamed to see you be so ungrateful?
