Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I saw we talk about the recession and the failing economy. That's probably what's effecting most people atm.

Here's what you can expect for the future of America. This will be the norm:

      1. Slower economic growth
      2. Increased govt regulation
      3. Reduced borrowing
      4. Higher taxes

      Possibilities:

      1. US merging with Canada and Mexico and making a new dollar called the Amero.
      2. A 9% unemployment rate might seem normal in the future.
      3. A $2.50 per gallon gas might seem like a good deal.
      4. The rich will no longer feel as safe with their income as they once did.
      5. Increased financial abuse. Big companies sucking the middle class dry with border line illegal methods.

$2.50 gas IS a good deal

With the exception of #1, which I highly doubt will happen, the rest all sound good. The 9% unemployment rate will be the norm in the short term. I don't think it'll stay that way for years. I'll probably peak around Jan 2010 and start to fall off from there (at what rate, I have no clue).
        this post = teh win.

You're more optimistic than I am.

1.) This has been in the plan for decades, however it won't happen unless(until) the US Dollar collapses or gets replaces as the world currency.

2.) I think unemployment may reach 15%-25% like great depression levels if the auto industry fails to turn around.

3.) I predict barrel prices going back up to $130 barrel once all the trucks and suv's have been moved off dealer lots.

4.) The bigger they are, the harder they fall. The rich who have investment in realestate, developers, etc. or those who had money on "paper" like stocks, etc. have already seen their riches disappear. There was a fire here the other day not too far from where I am. 50-60 town houses went up in flames, all worth 500-650 thousand a piece. I'm guessing somebody couldn't sell them and decided to collect on insurance. The wealthy on the other hand won't feel a thing.

5.) This has been going on for years now and it's still going on. The GM and Chrysler bailouts were bad news. They sucked the money from the stock holders and took tax payers money on top of that to bail out companies with dismal futures.

Do you think this may possibly be a conspiracy to make the dollar fall in hopes for a better future with a universal currency? I've heard all kinds of stuff.

Someone said something I didn't believe, but it could be true.

They said Bush was put in power by those believing he would mess up. He did mess up badly.

They said Obama would then be placed to change the entire system around.

Basically Bush makes it bad enough for Americans to want a major change, while Obama brings about that change for a greater good.

Sounds kind of like a conspiracy, but who really knows.

I just really hope we don't hit the 2nd great depression. Too many people are struggling with money as it is.

It was all a big ploy to put enough stress on Michael Jackson that he would overdose on pills. It started with Thriller during Ronald Reagan's presidency. That's why he started the whole Reaganomics and the exploding deficit spending. It was all a clever plan to bring an end to Michael Jackson 27 years later.

And yes, probably the jews did it ... with the help of Elvis who is still alive.

That's only phase one of the plan. Here is phase 2:

                  1. Insert American Pope in Rome after current Pope passes away.
                  2. Use the ridiculous amount of wealth/gold Rome has to jump the US from a mega power to a frieking moster Empire.
                  3. Declare martial law on the entire earth due to increased terrorism.
                  4. Force the world to unity via one world government & unified currency.
                  5. Kill any who oppose.

                    I'm thinking....

                    1) Reform the Roman Empire with the integration of Turkey
                    2) The wealthy move their tails back to Europe
                    3) The "new world" (i.e. North America) sinks into decades of recession
                    4) The "old world" society and culture reclaims its power

Excuse me! I am Canadian and we would never merge with US ever let alone Mexico. Not in hell would we ever inch closer America, they have brought us nothing over 30 years of our economic transformation. We would rather join the EU. Your possibility is absolutely uncorroborated regarding the US and Mexican merger with Canada. My country is too "European" like for America. We are widely considered to be our own little EU in North America's back yard.

My Country would be the only Country in North America that has the brightest future.

For so many reasons Canada is more Developed than America when talking HDI or Real Terms. Our economy is getting ruined because of our politicians have been so cold hearted into lead the Canadian population into the vacuum of the American financial system. We never wanted to bridge North America with the US we have always wanted to recline on the EU for years. America forced us into their orbit ever since man kind landed on Canadian soil.

Yes I accept with American assistance over the last 30 years that Canada has undertaken one of the most ambitious and sophisticated economic transformations the world has ever seen. Our GDP rising from about US$0 Nominal to over US$1 Trillion in excess which equates into the Worlds 8th Largest Modern Economy. Our per capita is short of America's but not that the difference is noticeable.

All of our extraordinary efforts for the last 30 years has been mostly of our making not America's.

Look we have more Canadian Cities that outrank all US Cities in Quality of Life. So don't you ever start suggesting that we should be amalgamate with our olden foe. That's a slap in the face for me and all the Canadians that you express your plebeian views. I recommend that you don't say such such provocative comments again.
