Why don’t you ask your buddies there at Turkish forum.com to actually open a discussion forum for us to participate if they are man enough.........I am still waiting.
More than half a million Armenians fought in the Red Army and half of them fell on the battlefield to liberate Europe from the Nazis.
While Turkey sat back and sold the Nazis cotton and chromium in exchange for the latest German weapons. Then made a symbolic declaration of war just before the war actually ended, so that it could confiscate all the German property and assets. Did a single Turk die fighting during WW2?

"Trust me guys, I have geocities sites with photos of anonymous people, who I swear are Armenians in the Nazi army, my Armenian friend once told me about it."
No one denies there were Armenians in the Nazi army-- It doesn't mean they believed Nazi ideology. Its like saying everyone in the Red Army was a die-hard Communist. Lets move past the 12-year old notions of reality being only in black and white.
There were a few thousand Armenians serving in the German army, but over 500,000 Armenians served the Red Army during WWII, and 300,000 of them DIED. This doesn't even count the number of Armenians who served in other Allied armies. Armenians had more total casualties during WWII than the United States did (US had around 290,000 casualties). Armenians lost over 10% of their TOTAL population fighting Nazis.
Even IF most Armenians fought for Germany, so what? You have no proof of anything. You just have old wives tales and are relying solely on geocities and word-of-mouth from your "Armenian friends".
Look on the bright side Turkoglu... every village needs an idiot.

Hahaha, you know it Bell.
The loosers of WWI never lost even one soldier in the WWII battlefields. Turkey remained neutral until almost the end of the war when they joined the allies so they can be associated with the winners. What they did do was steal all the German looted gold that was kept in their position. The Allies tried diplomatically very hard (7 years) to have Turkey return the gold to its owners but no chance in hell. Turkey even tried to have the English bank melt tons of coin and bars with no success.

Indeed, and somehow they think they can distort history with such paid lackeys to come up with these horrid attempts of altering history on its head with (Nazi collaborating) Turkish government becoming "the gallant ally" or "saviors of xxxs" The France one was good, I was waiting for the stories of the "Turkish soldiers liberating Auschwitz and Dachau..."
Just for the record guys: (Catharsis....correct me if I am wrong)
As far as I know Armenians during Nazi rule had only 1 battalion in the Nazi army and it was the 812th battalion lead by Trastamad Tamayan.
The battalion was made up of no more than 18,000 soldiers most of them were Armenian POWs from the Soviet Army captured by the Germans and were forced to join the battalion.
They were involved in occupation of Crimean Peninsula and Caucasus to enter Armenia if they ever got there to help impose the Nazi rule. There were also J.ewish POWs from the Red Army who were helped by the Armenians and disguised as them. Armenian doctors were helping J.ews. Later they were given by Dutch underground resistance and escaped. The news got out from the J.ewish side.
Hitler found out about this and send the legion to Holland where they worked on Anti Air batteries...............I think many died in Allied bombings and the remaining Armenian legion revolted in Holland and eventually all surrendered to Allies who returned them to Stalin. They got the GULAG punishment unjustly from Stalin.

Very good summary Eddo. However, there was more than one battalion, there were several who made up the Armenian Legion (which was integrated into the Wehrmacht). 808th and 809th formed battalions were formed in 1942. In early 1943, 810th, 812th and 813th. Later in 1943, 814th, 815th and 816th were also formed collectively about 20 thousand legionaries.
Three more Armenian rifle battalions were formed in German occupied Ukraine. The I/125th, I/198th, and II/9th. The "I" stood for "infanterie" standard division in the Wehrmacht for infantry only battalions.
There were also other also other Armenian "bau" (or construction) battalions that erected homes, roads, railroads, communication lines, etc.
The Armenian Legion fought mostly out of the ideology for the "liberation of Armenia" which many sincerely believed. Some to save themselves from the POW camps (where many died). Of course most Armenians POWs refused and only very few did agree. The head of the Armenian Legion was Drastamat Kanayan who stated from the outset that he is heading the legion for establishment of independent Armenia. I personally doubt it, since Germany already set up the reichskommissariats of Greater Germany (Armenia being part of it), but that was his conviction.
Additionally there were other Armenian units in other formations including in the Sonderverband Bergmann (Special Ops group "Mountaineer"). Individual Armenians (and half Armenians) were also tank commanders and even luftwaffe pilots.
The Legion fought several battles throughout the eastern front and later on the western front also (France, Austria, Northern Italy, later Belgium and Holland). You are absolutely right that many xxxs were saved by many in the legion who did not share the racist ideology and were in the Legion for their own beliefs of having an independent homeland.
Only very few survived the gulags, especially those that were able to flee to the West did in fact survived since they were first of all soldiers and second of all ideologically believed in their cause of free Armenia (which had nothing to do with Nazism), however they did overlook the fact that the Turkish amassed army would have certainly invaded Armenia if Red Army did not win the Battle of Stalingrad.
