Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

It is obvious that many here look at women in a similar manner many look at women in muslim countries. I guess living in and close to islamic countries rubbed off on many of our own people. I do think many feminists are out of their minds and simply hate man but it is also obvious that many men (especially in this forum) cannot comprehend a woman outside her traditional role. We do not live in a controlled environment, it so happens that the universe, the world, society and people are in a constant state of change and what was true generations ago may not be true now. The role of a man and a woman is not static. People take on and are relieved of responcibilities based on the environment they live in. If the environment allowes for women to expand their roles then many will and the same goes for men. I think many people look at gender with a very closed and limited mind which is perhaps the resullt of religious dogma. The truth is that humans (males and females) are adaptable creatures and we are simply adepting to the changes around us. This adaptability is why we have survived as a species and keeping artificial boundaries that no longer serve a purpose does not make any sence. Staying a virgin till getting married may have made sence when we lived in villages and women were married off in their mid teen years but it makes no sence to most of us living in the modern world where women get married much later in life. Our biology makes us a female or a male but it also alllowes us to be flexible and adapt to changes and limiting our adaptibility to change is a mistake because it limits our ability to survive. The role of a women and a man are changing because of environmental changes. In no way does this fact excuse idiotic and irresponcible behaviour by either sex but it does remind us that change is a constant in life.

In the ideal world what you're saying would make sense, but sadly, in the real world, that's not how it is.

Tomorrow, your wife could find a new lover, punch herself in the face then tell the cops you did it, the cops will throw you in jail while she gets a restraining order and files for divorce. You probably won't be able to beat the charges, because it's a woman's word against yours. If you're lucky you'll get probation, otherwise you'll do at least 2 months in jail. When you get out, you'll be in the middle of an ugly divorce and custody battle. She might even accuse you of sexually abusing your kids. You won't get custody and will probably not get visitation either, given that you're a known batterer (since you just got off a DV charge). She'll get the house since the kids are with her and need a house. You'll be paying child support and alimony. She'll be living it up and you'll be f#cked. Thing this is rare? The most common advice divorce attorneys give their (female) clients is to get a restraining order (DV charges are the best).

When the balance of power shifts to somewhere in the middle then you can come back and preach your idealism. When idiots hold a gun to your face you have to duck, not start preaching about how idiots are just as "smart" and "responsible" as the rest of us.

This happened to 2 coworkers of mine when I was working in Michigan. They were the type of guys that were involved with their kids, career oriented, etc. I don't mind when it happens to pricks but these guys didn't deserve it.

Is there a solution guys? Really, these people are the exceptions. Normal people don't punch themselves and blame another.
Should we disbelieve all women because of these few?

It's not a few women. Most women are not normal people, at least when they are pissed off and want to get back at someone. Most women think they would never do that until they decide to get a divorce, then all doors open up.
The solution is, don't give power to those who cannot possible be responsible with it.

Women can't possibly be responsible with power?
Ah, so it's not that you think society is biased in favor of women, so much that you think women are somehow inherently lacking and undeserving?
You think there are more women faking being abused than there are men who are abusing women?
What about those men? Are they handling power well?

I'd love to hear Kanada's opinion on this too... Do you think women are incapable of being responsible with power?
You have a niece if I'm not mistaken... If she said her boyfriend or husband had beaten her, what would you say/do?

                You certainly aren't. Case closed!!

Society is biased in favor of women. Women claim they want equality yet justify all the biases in their favor.
It doesn't matter whether there are more or less women faking abuse than being abused. The point is, the abusers, whether real or faked, get punished, but the liar gets away with it
What does this mean? Men who abuse their power get punished, and punished badly. 3 strikes and it's hard prison time. Women who lie about being abused/raped get away with it.
Thus, women have a very large capacity to abuse their power, but men have none because men get punished (often harshly) but women don't.

I wonder who are the ones sponsored by "Israeli interest groups" (KanadaHye) in this thread..., the feminist liberals or the misogynistic conservatives. both groups possibly. i also wonder whether this post will advance my application for jewish funding of my own activities on this board. it's not fair that only a few members take benefit.

Well, a lot of the "advice" comes from lawyers who want to "maximize" profits. Lawyers don't care who's right or wrong, they just see $$$ so the more divorces, the more $$$. When they are done milking western society and people are broke financially and spiritually, I guess the game is over.
