Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

A "feminist" being any women who doesn't stay in the kitchen?

I don't know anyone who would use the word "feminism" in conversation, and the last time anyone has used it seriously in a political context is the 1970s. Only dinosaurs and fanatics use such words nowadays, like those who still go on about "communism" or "anti-communism" as if that had validity or relevance to everyday life.

You are obviously a mangina. But that's besides the point. That argument has been successfully used by femtards in an attempt to silence any opposition. "What, you mean you want women to be chained to the kitchen?"

The word "feminism" itself has gathered a bad rep over the last 40 years, but it is very much alive. It is so much alive that most westerners take it as fact. The west is now a woman-first organization where every dipsh!t who wants to sound important has to suggest putting "more women in the power structure" as if women are somehow going to fix all of worlds problems. It's a fact that current western thought demonizes men and puts women on a pedestal. Everything that was ever wrong is said to be men's fault and women are the magical answer to all of world's problems. Women's shortcomings are given justification and men's shortcomings are used as proof that men are indeed the vile creatures they are claimed to be. Whether the word itself gets used is irrelevant. The double standard persists and grows while idiot's like you kiss up to the next harpie because it makes the feel better.

I was listening to NPR where the FIFA presidential elections were being discussed and one ex-presidential hopeful being interviewed. He kept on going about how FIFA is so corrupt and needs change. When asked what he would change if elected he said "Well, first of all, there are no women at all in the power structure." Wow, so basically he implied that men=corrupt, women=good. Right, turns off radio.

Entire generations of men have turned themselves into manginas by letting femtards hijack their masculinity. Suddenly, some 40 yo whale is giving a lecture on what a men should be and scores of idiots take notes. As if something that is not even a woman, and may not even be human, can actually give advice on how a man should act. Turn on the tv. Idiot dad, smart mom. It goes on and on.

        ohhhh woooowwwww
once again, my favorite people are at each other's throats.

the most interesting thing about this thread is that everyone here is from different ideology... arguing that theirs is the best. the only common thing out of all of you is that: men vs. women is the main problem to address.

Let's clear the air a bit. Some of you grew up where women should be in the kitchen. Others of you grew up where women have a lot to prove to men who grew up in the aforementioned scenario. Yet still others of you grew up not knowing what "a woman's place is" and are trying to figure it out based off your own experiences.

Most interestingly, all of you are going to continue saying "I'm right, you're wrong." Put it this way... if all of you strive to be your best in everything that you do and find YOUR ideal spouse -- what the hell does it matter about other's opinions on it? You know what you want, go for it. You know what you'd do, so do it.

As for me, I know KanadaHye would call me a feminist. Levon would call me a xxxxx. Lodontsi is still appalled by my bisexuality. Haykakan is probably intrigued and thinking. Siggie is probably laughing. Bell-the-cat is also probably amused...

        am i right?

Well, Feminism is by the dictionary "a movement that advances the belief that the sexes are equal". In a society, both males and females should be of course given equal rights, but there are inherent genetic differences between men and women that this movement has to also understand. That is part of evolution, men have evolved to be inherent in certain tasks (e.g. hunting) while women in tasks such as child bearing. That's just looking at science. Of course, politically both sexes should be given the same rights and women should be expected to work just as hard as men and vice versa. Some of the Feminism that I hear about here, goes above and beyond this simple dictionary definition.

On the contrary, looking at things as men vs. women is the main problem. Feminism has pitted women against men. Remove the whole men vs. women paradigm and society will again make sense. A traditional society is men working with women, each with his/her set tasks. Western crapocity is men and women competing with each other. Manginas and total chaos.

Our main issue is to make sure feminism doesn't infect Armenia as it has done in the west.

"Reproductive rights" (read: abortion). Tell me feminists, can Armenia really afford abortion? Can all of the ideas that have been (poorly) implemented in the West be applicable to all countries in all situations? Does that even make sense?

It really shouldn't be called 'Feminist' movement, because the definition of the feminist movement was equal rights among men and women in society. But from what I hear here, it's turned into a demonisation of men thus taking feminism to a inappropriate extreme.
