Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Armenians And Breeding.

It is clear to me that Armenians in general do not breed enough. Obviously some enlightened lefties like to believe that the earth is 'overpopulated' and for people to stop having babies. This regurgitated protoplasm is gargled with for so long that people continue believing this guff that we are 'overpopulated' because why treat the taste buds to new ideas when it's far more easier to gargle with the same generic crap.

The average Armenian married couple that I see has on average two children. Whether in Armenia or abroad the norm is from two children the most, followed by one after, but never more than two. Exceptions exist but for the most part Armenians do not like to breed. In Armenia, aside from emigration, economic hardship which has made it harder to breed, has had its effects no doubt. However, even before during Communism when there was still a deceptive aura of stability Armenians did not breed much. There seems to be a stigma with Armenians and having children. I believe Armenians help prove the point of 'quality' over 'quantity'.

For the most part the trend I've seen personally is that Armenian married couples won't bring more than an average of two children because their priority is first economic: will we be able to afford children? The second point is moral: will we be able to raise decent people? These two factors seem to be the bedrock of why Armenians don't breed, excluding the economic woes in Armenia. The Muslim neighbors to the east, and west of Armenia don't seem to have a problem with breeding in massive scales.

If I have kids, I'd have two at most. One to replace me, one to replace the person I marry. I want quality kids and I wanna be able to give them everything they want, including the intangible without having to worry about dividing it so much. haha

Firstly I am all for Armenians breeding and bringing as many children into this world as possible. But if everyone was to act like a crazy muslim and churn out 8 kids the world wouldnt be a nice place.
I dont see how you can say that we are not overpopulated and are not on track to being in an even worse situation in general.
Like you said, the reason Armenians have so few children is the economic factor. Basically as a society becomes more educated the mentality changes from "let me have 10 so they can do 10 times as much work on the farm and support me 10 times as much later" to " let me have 1 or 2 and put all my resources into educating those 2, or 1".
Even if all Armenian women were to have 2 children apiece our population would still be going down and frankly i dont see what can be done to fix this problem until Armenia becomes a prosperous state and starts givng all sorts of monetary benefits for more children.

I would not go over 5. 5 Children. However, iff you are going to have 5 kids and they are going to end up being bums, no reason, then we are third world trash. I say, have as many kids as you can afford to have, not only afford with money, but with care and education.

Armenians were never numerous, and frankly, smaller peoples tend to be more clean and intelligent because of their close knit lifestyles.

Lol I thought about punching in some numbers in the calculator ones...if there are 8mln Armenians in the world, 4mln of them being the necessary age of breeding, and if each couple has 5 kids that would be 10mln...if the 10mln does the same thing, that would be around 25mln (which is preety damn good for a time span of 50years)

lol another thing i thought of, is if each Armenian married a foreigner and managed to bring the foreigner onto our side...lol I later discarded the theory after seeing some Armenians on Armenian club....

That is a great idea! Why don't you marry a black person from Compton and bring them here to "our side"? I am sure they would love to have the last name of Hakopian following "Ayisha".
