The name is indeed derived from Arabic..but it's a variation on "Saeida" which is "LADY" in arabic.
p.s. I speak arabic and "seda" does not mean "voice"..unless it's a dialect that I don't know of..correct me if I am wrong please.
I am planning on giving my daughter due in November the Armenian name Seda. The baby name websites say this is an Armenian name meaning "forest voices." I would like to know more about this name. Does anyone know anything about it's history? What does the phrase "forest voices" refer to ... forest spirits? Maybe Armenian mythology? Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.
