Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

The Kosovo Albanians are the worst of them all. Most of the hard criminals in Germany and drug traffickers come from there. The girls are known to be one of the sleaziest, sometimes they are even pimped by their families.

Stealing the first born son of Christian families is probably the most important reason why Turks are still hated in Balkan countries. You can call it whatever you like according to your (Turkish) value system.

This is again lie, I think much people believe, If a family have one child, his child should not be taken. so not first born, not much important, but no need to dramatize it.

Unfortunately that was true Murtaza. The Ottomans continued that practice until the 16th century. The Ottoman Empire had some barbaric practices, so we shouldn't defend them. Ölmüş eşeğin arkasından ağlanmaz. They are dead and gone anyways. The Republic of Turkey is not responsible for their crimes. But we have the duty to protect our Turkish homeland.

You have just confirmed that Turkey is a failure as a nation-state if that's how you people feel. No wonder the Ottomans failed. I don't see a future for your country with your lack of national cohesion.

And you just confirmed that you drink too much last night and didnt sleep well. You are dreaming We are here, and we will stay here, It is you who is lefting their main land.

Now you started an Albanian hatred?
About Albanian girls, I recommend you Armenian girls who came from Armenia to prostitute at Istanbul streets.

About Janissaries, it seems that either Armenians or Turks here do not know anything but stupid stereotypes. Ottomans would not attack Christian villages and steal babies or such.
The Janissary candidates were chosen from the most brilliant childs of those places. 1 or 2 from 1000 child. It was not easy to be chosen as Janissary and the ones who are chosen and their families were feeling themselves very lucky and most of the families, themselves were urging to be chosen their childs, because Janissaries were the ruling elite of the empire and they were very rich comparing to ordinary people.

And I know what is yeniceri, but no need to dramatize it, One child never taken.

The Republic of Turkey is not responsible for their crimes

Ask them, If this is true.

I said first born son. Even if they didn't steal from families with one son this doesn't justify it. Most historians say otherwise. I don't think you would appreciate it if they took you away from your mother when you were a small child, forcibly convert you to Christianity, let you fight in their wars maybe even against your co-ethnics until you were 40-45 years old (that is if you were still alive), live off expropriated lands.

We are not to blame for the crimes and atrocities of the Ottoman Empire. I know they don't accept and we should care less if they don't.

This is interesting, Turks love to say they are not responsible for anything negative that came out of the Ottoman Empire, which is plenty indeed but then you go and brag your heads and claim anything positive or constructive. Cant have your cake and eat it too. (I never understood how this saying makes sense but it seems appropriate here.) Anyway drop your double standards and start being constructive and admitting when you are wrong. 95% of Armenian prostitutes anywhere are victims of human trafficking if you think this is funny, you can go fist yourself heartless bastards. You can go read up on the research done by Ara Manoogian on his blog at http://www.aramanoogian.blogspot.com/ , they mostly researched hte problem in Dubai but it is the same everywhere. Educate yourselves.

Tigran you raised a good point there. The problem with our society is also the same as yours. We can't accept even the slightest criticism and get furious when our idealised concepts are questioned. I think it has to do with a Middle Eastern inferiority complex.
