a few months ago(01/06/06) i heard that in moscow russians are killing Armenians cause of there nationality. does any one know anything about this? please explain your story
Don't confuse nazi-Russians with normal Russians. Normal Russians have never had problems with us and like us to this day. I think the fact that Russia gave Armenia 12 points yesterday says enough! Even if it was political voting (which I think it was), it goes to show how important Armenia's loyalty is to Russia.
The Armenian Republic is not going to change they way it deals with a vital strategic regional ally, due to a handful of troubled, uneducated, unemployed teenagers in Russia. Armenians are getting targeted in Russia essentially becasue they are foreigners, not becasue they are Armenian. Nonetheless, these occurances are still very rare, especially when one takes into consideration the large number of Armenians living in Russia and the very bad sociopolitical situation of Russian society today.
In short:
Our landlocked, poor and tiny Republic does not serve the interests of Washington DC. Armenia actually gets in the way of America's "grand" plans for the region. Armenia today serves the interests of Russia, Iran and, to a lesser extent, the EU. Thus, Armenians need to concentrate on building closer relations with the aforementioned three.
The only nations today that have invested considerable amounts of money in Armenia are Russia, Iran and Greece. Russia spends hundreds of millions of US Dollars per year, last year the disclosed figure was over four hundred million ininvestments. We are talking economic trade, we are talking close military cooperation. I suggest you all to read the new AGBU issue regarding Russia Armenian relations.
Moreover, there are billions of dollars of Russian arms in Armenia. Russians maintain our nuclear powerplant and they give us nuclear fuel. And we still get a good gas deal, although its not as good as before. But hey, that's free market economy for you. Besides, Russian gas passes through Georgia and Azerbaijan. How can Russians ask us Armenians for a lot less without creating a diplomatic fiasco with other nationswho are paying much more?
Finally. Last time Turks tried to invade Armenia - in 1993 - it was the Russians that more-or-less said: you throw a stone across the Arax and World War Three will begin.
Get off this topic you are doing no one any good.

Does anybody else think it's funny that the Nazis were anti-slav, but these guys are following them?
I'm still trying to reconcile the ideology of the superiority of the Aryan race, when they don't much know of Armenians and don't like Indians. I HATE that "Aryan" is now synonomous with 'blond'.

It has nothing to do with being a Nazi my naive friend. It has everything to do with preserve your own kind. That's what Nazi's believed, ironically, and are now cast as the most evil people in history. Who is doing the casting and why?
