War is the health of the state and politicians. Those who suffer are invariably the regular people on both sides.

Monte Melokonian set an example I would surely follow.

"Death is the same everywhere ,
Man is born just once to die,
But blest is he who gives his life
      To defend his nations freedom"

I assure you its a honest statement, i wouldn't lie about something like that.
I think our focus should be to prevent another war. Not to fight one.

Armenian, it's an important but a difficult question, not only to answer, but to contemplate. For myself, I am keeping and solidifying in my mind the idea that in the next 10 years I will move my operation to Armenia, if not all of it, then most of it, with some portion of my time spent on fostering relationships with the acedemic world in the west. But, the more I see problems that children face here, more I think about raising any children I would have in Armenia. And as you correctly pointed out, it ceases to be a choice to serve or not, when your family is part of the stakes. To be sure, if another war for Arcakh starts, our enemies would not stop till Yerevan was under their control, after they've seen our resolve and long-memory.

Interesting. I never thought of it that way. You make perfect sense and its a quite scary prospect.

More or less, you and I are in the same situation, and I already have children.
