What the hell is a "true friend" in international politics?

True, but let's make an exception about Iran. Unlike some countries mentioned here who have been Armenia's friend only occasionally, I think the relationships between Iran and Armenia have always been friendly and cordial throughout our history, and this regardless of regimes ruling in Iran.

Why not? But, considering that the (population of the) forum may not - and probably does not - faithfully and accurately represent the different Armenian communities, what would the poll tell us?

I have no idea and your guess is probably as good as mine. I don't even know if - and how - "true friend" was defined in the poll; I tried - only less than 3 minutes, not enough??? - to find out but did not see any further clarification.
I don't even know if it has to do with Foreign Affairs?

In any case, it seems to me that, in Foreign Affairs, the word "friend" usually means something like "having common interests" i.e. more like an ally or a partner??? So I don't know if "friend" is appropriate when it comes to "international politics?"

Is that anything more than a certain perception? So why do you think only 9% (of the polled) perceives Iran as a "true friend?"

I am disappointed that Israel and Turkey did not make it.
