Re: Armenian & African-American Communities : An imperceptable genocidal link ?
Thank you for this page of Wikipedia. The English one is richer :
Here is a YouTube serie on Black Athena with a more academic presentation :
Thanks to YouTube and Google, time has come that we can be aware how Silent Racism has influenced History : as Eurocentrism has influenced Mustafa Kemal.
Professor Henrik Clark says about H.G. Wells' "Outline of History" : "...; but, his interpretation is basically eurocentric to the point of being a prejudiced document."

Black Athena, a very interesting debate on the African roots of Greek civilisation : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=f&oq=&aqi=g10
In the 5/15 video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UmYA...eature=related
Professor John Henrik Clark speaks on H.G. Wells book : "Outline of History" as a representative monument of eurocentrist ideology (falsificating History) :
BUT WHAT A COINCIDENCE ! MUSTAFA KÉMAL IN READING THIS BOOK OF H.G. WELLS DECIDES TO MAKE STATE HISTORICAL FALSIFICATION :
Coincidence ? Birds of same feather flock together? One is a fiction writer, the other one is the founder of a Republic which has been denying Genocide ! Please inform professors of African Studies in American Universities.

Re: Armenian & African-American Communities : An imperceptable genocidal link ?
About black slaves in colonial British America, there had been an event of which what happenned with the Armenians in 1922 Izmir escape, is even not a pale reflexion.
Indeed, during the American Revolution, the British had promised to the slaves that if they fought with them against the rebels, they would have freedom and British citizenship. At the victory of American Independence, the British forces had to leave South Carolina. When the Blacks tried to embark with them on board, to impede them, the British sailors cut their hands with axes when they grasped to the edge of the boat :
Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
More than thirty years ago, I met an Armenian lady who was from Izmir. The kemalist troops were attacking the town which was burning in 1922 ; she was a little girl when she fled with her mother to the harbour. With emotion, she told us that sailors of French and English boats poored boiling water on the Greeks and the Armenians who were trying to get on board.

Obama revoked his promise to call armenian "genocide" by it's proper name ? It is a political decision, a Realpolitk decision advised by his official advisers :
Anyway ...and meanwhile you can inform this compared approach :
to the African American Community

Andrew Young – The MLK Center of Atlanta – The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture – The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education – The National Urban League – Historically black colleges and universities – List of historically black colleges of the United States – The NAACP National Association for the Advancement of Colored People – The Rainbow-Push Coalition – The Black Caucus – Ms Oprah Winfrey – Denzel Washington – Spike Lee – Allen and Albert Hughes Brothers

"America deserves a leader who speaks truthfully about the Armenian Genocide and responds forcefully to all genocides. I intend to be that President." Barack Obama, January 19, 2008 (*1)
Today, the world knows about the Armenian Genocide committed by the Young-Turk Government of the Ottoman Empire in 1915. In the USA, more than 40 states have already recognized it officially. (*2) The denial of the Armenian Genocide is not....

PS - Have you seen the very good film "The Great Debaters" with Denzel Washington and produced by Oprah Winfrey ? It's the same struggle for authentic American values

Re: Armenian & African-American Communities : An imperceptable genocidal link ?
Dear friends,
Important things are happenning in the French West Indies.
It is not only an economical revendication. Life indeed is very expensive in the two french islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. Administrative structure is falsified by french centralization dogma ("Jacobinmisme"). The economy is almost colonial and exploited by the old white french class ("the bekes").
But there is also a revendication of French West Indies Identity, on being decendents of former slaves, a need to share memory of slavery and to make it known in French National Education System.
Please click on the logos of the "Departements d'Outre-Mer" (Over-Seas Counties) : Regional Councils, General Councils, Associations of Counties Mayors.
I also recall some compared historical-sociological facts on my home page :

Re: Armenian & African-American Communities : An imperceptable genocidal link ?
I saw the film : "When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts " by Spike Lee (4 hours in the cinema)
I had already seen two other movies directed by him : "Michael X" & "Clockers"
When I saw this long film on what happenned in New Orleans, I can more fancy, I can more feel what happenned to the deportation of the Armenians in 1915.
If you happen to know Spike Lee or to meet him, please tell him that he can make a very good film on the Armenian Genocide.
