  • Ataturk's Sun Theory

    Can any of you explain the Ataturk Sun Theory for me? I heard it's about as credible as L. Ron Hubbard.
    General Antranik (1865-1927): “I am not a nationalist. I recognize only one nation, the nation of the oppressed.”

    L.Ron Hubbard's philosophy at least someof it makes sense (like life being a cycle and monitoring yourself)
    "All truth passes through three stages:
    First, it is ridiculed;
    Second, it is violently opposed; and
    Third, it is accepted as self-evident."

    Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860)

      The sun theory is a theory that Atatürk himself offered which claims that all languages came from the root of Turkish language, therefore is the mother of all languages which ofcourse is plain wrong. The intentions of our leader however is to mend the broken honor, self-respect and self-trust of Turkish nation after the WW1.
      The blow to our identity was too strong, muslimhood shattered, the invincible Ottoman empire shattered. People simly had lost faith in life, though we were victorious in our independence war. No economy, no education, no vision for future most importantly. Therefore Atatürk invented this theory and many a quotes that praised Turkishness as you well know to establish self-respect of the people again.
      That is the backgorund of sun-theory, and the theory itself.

        Another words he lied to all of us who grew up in those lands (and screwed us) for the love of his xxxxxx British friends.I wonder what other things he lied about.A lier is not fit to lead a nation ,unless he was put there by the winners among the entente powers that won the war of peace.

            Dont be childish Gavur, what would you say to a nation that lost an entire empire. Life is never black and white just like people are not. Ataturk lied about it, but he had a good reason. His act proved to much more wiser in the end.
            ( I hear his friendship with English has improved at Gallipoli while fighting them )
            Please drop this nonsense of great conspiracy theories of the world. Turkey emerged as a new country, after all England found it wiser to ally itself with us than fighting against us. That is what is politics, that is what is diplomacy.

                While in some ways I can understand the purpose behind creating such a theory, it sort of goes hand in hand with why the past seems to be so whitewashed in Turkey.

                  He was a soldier first and had to carrie out his orders and was a good bullxxxxer no one used to pay attention to him in the Ottoman circles with his bullxxxx watch storie he only impressed the germans which he hated but needed for his existence at the time afterwards a man that perfected the art of the retreat, became bosom buddies with the Brits who were conducting double diplomacy all to compete with other victors ow WW1 for OIL they even treated the defeated Turks as a victor at the table to further their aims.No wonder Turks didnt feel like victors because they wernt and they had to be lied to about everything and you guys are the product of this scam and still living in somebody elses home thinking its yours.But you property has been condemned because you have none.
