The real weakness of turks

you offer the easiest thing, no solution to nothing. not a new offer, thats what is going on today.

we humans have feeligs and on individual levels,depending on our surrounding,culture , our opinions can be affected by emotions.

but states dont have any feelings, they only act according to the benefits of the state.

if we consider all these problems independent from each other.

why should armenians leave karabağ, where only armenians live today?
why should azeris stop hostility after loosing her lands?
why should turkey open the borders?

and why should turkey accept the genocide?

these are all related to each other. and they can be solved only if every side have considarable gains ---and reasonable losses--in the bargain.

but on the other hand, not offering a solution is also a choice.

this is what most of armenians and turks do. armenians wait turkey be destroyed and seperated into pieces, by internal rebells and islamizm. and turks wait armenia to loose some more blood and population and give up the struggle and surrender to turkey.


my opinions are only in individual level. ı said so far what ı believed. but ı must say ,ı have little hope for any kind of peace. because people dont want this.

You repeat turkish dogma and state that you would like to see a world without frontiers....mmmmm.

"Why should turkey recognise the Armenian Genocide??" To rejoin the human race, to show penance for sins.

Please don't connect Recognition with any other conditions, recognition must be to accept the truth and history, not linked to gains for the criminal.

lal - I fully understand the difficulties and implications for Turkey for coming clean and admitting the turth in regards to the Armenian Genocide. However the right course of action is not always the easiest one. And in fact by Turkey not taking the necessary steps it keeps the nation in a perpetual state that prevents progress in many other areas as well and continues an environment that limits your social and political progress. Anyone who claims to be interested in improving the Turkish nation and conditions for its people should be in favor of moves toward recognition of the Armenian Genocide - without this I fear your nation will be forever held back and subject to the whims/rule of a few who are more concerned with their own self interest and maitenence of power and supression of (necessary) social and political change. Besides (once again) it is the right thing to do - Armenians who have suffered and who continue to suffer as a result of the denial - deserve it - and Turks (such as yourself) also deserve the truth and not a continuation of lies.

well, ı agree with what you say here.

but living in turkey, feeling the strong presence of islam, ı really cant foresee a radical change in this country about anything in short period.including armenian issues.

only thing ı and few turks can do ,is just to send some sympathy messeges to you regarding your deep pains and nothing else really.

Thanks for your honesty Lal. Too many folks here seem to direct their angst towards you when all you're trying to do is give your view of Turkey.
