Except that it is a strange sort of believer who would accept that it is OK to have a situation where the majority of those acting like believers are in reality not, and actually believe it is all to be no more than a colourful folk tale.
    So?
majority of people that act like human beings are not either we are first human and the way of life (religion) that we choose is a ritualization of seeing and accepting our short comings as humans, nothing more nothing less.
Your concept of religion I think is missing an importent element and could be why its askewed.
And that is .....an honest women!

Without even a single piece, the picture is not complete. I do sound corny/cheesy I admit. But after seeing those African people suffer, and people from different countries coming over to help them, learn their languages etc. regardless of the fact that they are not even from the same religion or nation etc. I am more aware of how wonderful/magical it is to feel compassion, empathy and most importantly love.

                Hello all

Where to begin? Actually I am here by chance. I was looking for some information and your site came up in a google search. I've been reading about people here and everyone seems so nice

I am part Armenian and part Russian with some Italian and British as well. As a cousin visiting from Moscow once remarked, "I make a good xxxxtail." The Russian revolution forced my gradfather to escape to America which is why I was born in NY.

Like you I also know of losses in my family to the Armenian Genocide.

As I go along I can perhaps tell you of some interesting things but I feel a little "new" yet and will first feel the "lay of the land" so to speak. It is so nice to read Armenians and Turks being so respectful to each other. Actually one of my ancestors was an Armenian so talented that he is one of the few Armenians admired by Turkey. So you see, we can make progress. Indeed we must make progress.

One thing we all have is a bond that few can understand. And for this reason regardless of being Armenian or Turk, if we feel the horror or what has occurred, the ball is in our court as to help set the stage that invites the changes to come.

Now I'll explore the site and learn a few things.

                Glad to say hi

                Nick

Wait, Mother Armenia is supposed to be Ani?

It's so strange that Armenians have assigned a gender to two of our capitals (that I can think of): Ani and Dvin. I think Yerevan is male though.

This is a fantastic shot: http://armenianstudies.csufresno.edu...i_05_large.jpg
