People like you make me sick. All you are really interested in is showy superficialities and excess. I could have 3 or 4 days travelling in Turkey, staying in perfectly acceptable accommodation, for the cost of one night in that not-the-very-best hotel. What is "better", btw, $200 a night? $300? And why is it "better"?

Some advice for ardakilic - if you do ever go, for maximum learning experience go by land, don't fly to Yerevan. Fly to Kars, ask there what they think about the border being closed, and look around the place while remembering that Kars was once part of the country you are travelling to, and try to imagine what its loss meant to Armenia (a loss inflicted by the Republic of Turkey, not the Ottoman Empire). Then go to Ani before it is completely ruined, and also to see how close that border actually is. Then see how close it is in reality, going via Georgia, 12 hours travelling if the connections work and you use taxis; a day-and-a-half if you use buses. If you want further advice on this route, like bus times and so on, just ask.
                  Plenipotentiary meow!

I know something about what Kars people think about the border being closed. Amberin Zaman, an Armenian columnist visited the city and interviewed people. Most of them dont agree to state policy about borders and also Kars municipal mayor is declared "traitor" by nationalists.

This Ani subject shows how Turkish state is awful. State claims its real name is Anı (meaning memory in Turkish) and no relations with Armenians.

                      LOL, thanks, jinglbells, very friendly...
Look, you didn’t see the irony in my post. Arda mentioned an expensive hotel, so I just make remark that it is not the best one. I think if some one want to stay in EXPANCIVE hotel why do not stay in the MOST EXPANCIVE one?)
                      Ever herd about sarcasm?

jingls, why don’t you offer him to go to Mush and Van as well....?
The route you are offering very hard one, and as far as I remember what Arda said was: "I want to visit Tsitsernakabert." So let the guy to do it, and do not mix eggs, please.
