1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Actually, it's hilarious not only because it's fake (there was no Circassian genocide), but because it's hypocritical. Abkhazia was majority Georgian in 1990 solely because Russia deported the Muslim Abkhaz majority out of it in the 1800s in the same forced expulsion that hit the Circassions. So, according to the Georgian claim that there was genocide by Russia, that would mean the very Georgian state is built on genocide and that Georgia is greedily trying to steal territory that was Gruzinized by genocide.

Dont expect the georgians to make sence. I think the funniest thing ever was when they appointed a defence minister to his post because he was good at playing the game Civilization on the computor. I know its sounds too silly to be true but the man won on the hardest level

Armenian Genocide Issue Finally Closed in UK Parliament
          22:22 • 31.03.10

The British House of Lords has rejected a proposal by the British-Armenian community to recognize the Armenian Genocide and declare April 24 in Britain as a commemoration day for genocide victims, Lord Kilclooney said in an interview with Turkish news agency Cihan.

According to Turkish media, it was British State Minister Baroness Kinnock who put an end to the discussions over the genocide on March 29.

Saying that the 1915 events were a human tragedy and that they sympathized with the Armenians who suffered losses during those years, the State Minister recalled Britain’s official stance over the Armenian Genocide.

“The British Government cannot make a statement which would halt the Armenia-Turkey normalization process,” said Kinnock, adding that “there are no legal grounds to consider the 1915 events as genocide.”

“For that reason it would not be right for the British Government to recognize those events as genocide,” added the Baroness.

Earlier, on March 29, the House of Lords had held discussions on the Armenian Genocide initiated by Baroness Caroline xxxxs who presented the main facts of the Genocide and the documentary facts in Britain’s possession, calling on the government to join civilized nations around the world and recognize the Armenian Genocide.

“The British Government remembers the sorrowful events in the beginning of the century but cannot take a step that would hinder Armenia-Turkey rapprochement,” Kinnock had said in response to xxxxs’ request.

The British have been friends of the Turks because of fears of Russia for ever so long. Disraeli did nothing when the Bulgarian massacres in the 1870s were scandalizing the rest of Europe. It is truly scandalous, but hardly surprising, how many Western Europeans (particularly British but also French and Germans) have for decades and centuries knowingly permitted Turks to get away with everything solely because of the fear of Russia. From the Armenian genocide and Hamidian massacres, to the Pontic Greek genocide and Istanbul Pogrom, to the Massacre of Chios and the Adana Massacre and Cyprus, to the Bulgarian atrocities and the Assyrian genocide, etc. A 2-century litany of horrors that Western Europeans have turned a blind eye towards simply out of political expedience.

Anglo-Turko relations are far stronger than many people realise and the UK invests a lot of money in Turkic countries. What is more the British regime are not in a good position politically just before a general election and no doubt this Armenian Genocide proposal was tabled, now in order to kill it. Since the Turks have made it quite clear that aren't not going to except preconditions to any reconciliation process.

Europe will do what it does best, namely sit on the fence and do nothing. As it is not in Europe's intrests to become embroiled in highly contentious, political spats with it's neighbours. Even if they are a bunch of two faced, lying hypocrites. However they are far more likely to recognize the Armenian Genocide than the British.

As thinks stand, the Turk is maintaining that he is being victimized and his Sunni Islamist cronies are furious with Russia. However as far as I can see, they aren't excactly enamored with the Turks either. Since the ethno-religious, mass murder of Christian Greeks, Armenians and Assyrians is hardly something that they can (at least overly) support.

Re: Recognition of Armenian Genocide by the world’s parliaments.

I don't think the issue goes as the Westerners are afraid of Russia so they allow Turkey to get away with their crimes unpunished, I believe it's because they know how barbaric Turkey can be, it is clearly visible that many countries are afraid of Turkey more than they've ever been of any USSR. Differently from Russia, the Turks are barbarians who will not hesitate from committing a crime because they know nobody will ever punish them, they can do whatever they want without consequences.

We knew for decades that if the Russians attack, the US and the Westerners will "protect us", but if the Turks attack? Having that in mind, it's no surprise that so many countries are afraid of passing the Genocide resolutions not because it would "damage our bilateral relationships" or the new trend of it would "damage the Armenian-Turkey process", but because it would anger Turkey and the last thing they want is an angry Turkey.

In other words, the Westerners are a bunch of p*ssies.

If anyone is afraid and insecure it's the Turks. None of these various Armenian genocide resolutions would be necessary. If the Turks for once did the right thing and came clean, in regards to the Turkish states involvement in past events. Rather than constantly seeking to suppress and evade it's responsibilities.
