Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    hiya

im a protestant christian [Antaquian] Turk, from Finland.
I'd like to write my some of opinions and recomme with my broken english, please excuse my english.
i did not join to from for to bug people or talk against you. because Armenians have right to have actions against Turkey. I can feel the pain of genocide and injustices on Armenia, i can feel because im a CHRISTIAN TURK and i still there are injustice on christian people in Turkey,or other ethnics.
but the most important thing to breake a minute everything, and start to think "what we are doing". well you right about genocide its okay many armenians died its alright but i wanna talk about objective, im not gonna write here as muslim, christian jewish, turk or armenian. im out the politics right now:

1.in genocide years, not just armenians died, many kind ethnics died, of course millions of people died, its world war, its just normal. if there was action on armenians its okay i accept. but still can not understand, archives and history mirrors are not enough.
there is one official mirror of armenian genocide, thats the "Blue Book". this book was just war propagand by Britain. Britain made it because britain was an enemy of turkey.
now how can i believe this blue book?

    2. in Turkey teachers explanes about Armenia, greece blah blahh. teaching with hate, well, most of people just stupit, most of turks already love to hate some ethnics and they learn to hate about all life, but not all turks same. educated turks just against this system, i'd like to have a chance to burn turkish history books, either i dont believe turkish mirrors.

3.i dont believe Turkish history neither i dont believe blue book. because people just use this for their politic see. well i prefer to be objective.

4.turkey does not respect my christian life in turkey, muslims trying to close all churchs. my church closed by muslim majority about 5 times but we got some respect and support by another turk majority. so we dont hate all people. because its not just all turks fault. now church works, opened. but we have troubles with idiotic muslims in turkey, shoots stones and molotoph coctails to our windows, but its just provacation, we also get support by police and army too. they are mostly saving us from most muslim attacks. i can not love turks also i can not hate...

5.armenian genocide, i really would learn the truth and support christian life in the past, and i'd like to support but i am not sure what happened in the past, everything just a big lie around us. everything political. i dont know who to believe. its not just me, most of people thinks like it...
if Armenian government doesnt reject Turkish invitiation about researching armenian genocide, it would be a great chance to people understand tru. but now people thinks, "why armenia rejects turkish invitiation about researching history and both archives?"

6.Armenia should have really good relation with Turkey. Armenian action is just a big mistake. its like, EU and Turkey, Armenian lobby in USA etc..

Well, its alright, then you block Turkey, turkey doesnt joins EU, Turkey loses support of USA, if you enjoy it sit back and listen:

then think about few years later, turkey growing bigger everyday more, a strong economy and damn big military, against western countries, against EU, against Greece, bulgaria and ARMENIA. well they have a strong relation with Russia and it gets stronger everyday more.
does armenians enjoy to mess with Turkey? pushing on Turkish people and specially ARMY? well turkey has democratic government, islamic or anything but Turkish military is second government for Turkey. And Turkish military does not accepts islam in army, it does not matter who you are, muslim or christian, turkish army has no religion, i know it because im from Turkey.

    7. whit this interesting actions Armenia pushes on Turkey, armenia trying luck on turkey but its no good for Armenia.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

these are not defending on turkey, i dont care becasue im in finland right now, i got bored muslim press on me and i escaped from turkey, with armenian genocide, turkish people started to hate also turkish christians, just everything messed.

and with this genocide actions doesnt helps you. turkey is still samne turkey, armenia is still same armenia. but if you push on turkey, it will be damn dangerious for armenia.

i recommend you to culm down and have good relation with turkey, and we christian commuinty already support other christians like Armenians. but with this genocide and blahblah, you are damaging our christian relations with muslims.

    ---------------------------------------------
and other thing, you are forgeting God, when you are talking about religion, you should to think about peace too.
    ---------------------------------------------
    peace brothers
    regards

If a war gives anyone free reign to liquidate an entire people from their ancestral homeland, into the deserts with no food or whatever, killing entire families, raping and forcing many to convert to Islam, if all those things are "normal" to wars, then the Armenian Genocide was "normal".
If, on the other hand, one can sift through the difference of a war between two armies, and an all out slaughter of a nation while the clouds of war could hide what they were doing, then you might realize such outrageous actions were not "normal", not even during a world war.

Well Turkey can't try to Genocide us twice. And then you say against Greece, EU, Bulgaria , and Armenia. Lol, that's a big war fought on a lot of fronts.

But I agree, w/ the things you said, Whether Turkey recognizes the Genocide or not, I want Armenia to become a model nation.

Also it's true a lot of people died in the conflict. However, Turkey gave orders to wipe out Armenians, officially. We were defending ourselves. Our gov't never said, "Kill all Turks."

Hmmm, he's a typical Turk first, a typical Christian second. There is probably more hope in redeeming the first than the second.
