- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Armenian Woman Sends Grandchild to Turkish School

Some Armenians oppose the Armenian Diaspora builds the identity on Turkish hatred and they try to maintain friendship with Turkey. Maria Rosa Ayoriyan, an Armenian from Gaziantep registered her grandchild at Herkul College established by Turkish entrepreneurs in Buenos Aires last month.

She sent a touching message to both Armenians and Turks, saying: "What has happened is in the past. We should look ahead and leave the past in the past. It is not possible to separate Turks from Armenians and vice versa. We have lived together with Turks for years. We took brides from Turks and also bestowed our daughters to them. Our cuisine, conventional proprieties and customs are very similar. We speak the same language."

Ayorian says she took her grandchild to the Turkish school despite the disapproval of some Armenians. She believes a group of people are trying to separate the two nations by force, adding that what happened during a time of war should be forgotten. In asked why she chose a Turkish school, Ayorian says, "I believe my grandchild will learn good manners and universal values there." Armenians and Turks are two nations of the same land and culture; only the religion is different.

Her grandfather, Kirkor Nazaryan, was a lawyer in Gaziantep, a southeastern Turkish city, and she still speaks a little Turkish. A kindergarten and a primary school are currently operating at Herkul College founded by the Turkey-Argentina Friendship Foundation. The school has 95 students and offers education in both English and Spanish languages. Mrs. Ayorian is referred to as "Aunt Maria" by school officials. She calls Turks the "men of honor" and says her father and grandfather spoke positively about Turks.

Patriarch Mesrob II warns France over Genocide Bill

In the toughest communiqué he has published to date, the Armenian Patriarch of Turkey, Mesrob II, warned that the Bill put forward by the French Socialist Party with the aim of punishing those denying the Armenian Genocide, will be detrimental to the process of the Turkish-Armenian dialogue. Mesrob II reminded French parliamentarians that the passing of such a bill would strengthen nationalist and racist elements on both the Armenian and Turkish sides, “We do not deem any format that does not serve the purpose of a dialogue between Armenians and Turks as acceptable”. Mesrob II went on to say the following: “Any country, with Turkey and Armenia at the top, should take care to ensure that barriers preventing communication between the two countries should be lifted, not put down, in order for the issue to be studied and researched. Whatever the reason, any initiative that forbids freedom of __expression will be detrimental to Turkish Armenian relations.”

I believe Mutafian is under Etchmiadzin and not Cilicia. As you may recall, the Catholicos made a trip to Constantinople recently and the Mutafian was of course acting like an a**hole and practically ruined the whole visit with his servile statements to the Turkish state. Ectchmiadzin needs to cut all ties with the Istanbul church and and let them just whither. It's unfortunate (I have bolsahye cousins) but we need to cut them off like a cancer. The only good bolsahyes I know are the ones who have left, sold their businesses, and started new ones in the diasporaand are proud members of our community. They tell it like it is, not the Benedict Arnolds who still reside in Turkey. It really is sad but they are fading into the yoke of the Turkish "ummah" and have intermingled amongst that race of mongols. Let them lose their souls, they are generally not worth fighting for.

Re: Armenian Patriarch Of Turkey Issues Bold Message On Genocide

Armenian Patriarchs, in true Orthodox fashion, are free and independent, they have full authority to administer their followers. They are not subordinate to anyone in the Church, including the Katolikos.

Armenian Patriarchs are expected to uphold the theology/cannons of the Armenian Church. They are only required to recognize the Katolikos as "Amenayn Hayoc" - Patriarch of all Armenians. However, they are not required to follow every single one of Katolikos' dictates. Its much like the "Nakhararutyunner" of ancient Armenia, where powerful nobles were free to do as they pleased, as long as they simply recognized a 'central noble' with the title of King.

I know for sure that the current Katolikos has as much respect for Mutafian as he has for a sewer rat. But, unfortunately, there is nothing he can do about it.

In a best case scenerio, the Turkahai community along with their clergy wakes up one day and says -

"you know, here we are some thirty thousand Turkified Armenians in Turkey with a Patriachate that only serves the propaganda purposes of Ankara. The best thing to do is to shut down the Patriarchate and move it to France or America...."

Re: Armenian Patriarch Of Turkey Issues Bold Message On Genocide

half of my family were born and raised in turkey. they come originally from near gesaria (the original caesarea and today's kayseri, which is where krikor lusavorich was himself baptized and later consecrated as the first armenian catholicos of the armenian church, according to agatangeghos). of my parents' generation almost all grew up in istanbul. all of us speak armenian, have armenian names (more than you can say of american-armenians), and don't need to prove our armenianness to you or to anyone else.

Mancusun/Kayseri, there was great armenian population there. At deportation times many of them was hidden by neighbours. In my relatives there are some.

sure I don't listen but to racists as you.

you, racists can m.a.s.t.u.r.b.a.t.e. eachother with thinking, looking same and not accepting different ideas.I understand that an Armenian especially who live in Turkey and a religious leader of Armenians in Turkey wants that live in peace, respect to eachother and be in emphaty, and these words cannot be right for racists as you cause these words and this man are breaking down your stupid prejudices, your teories are going down,down,down,...so what do yo need to explain!there is a way,to insult him, behaving, talking to him by racists words, maybe killing him.voila you are these, small ideas.

I think there should be a place for racists (both Armenian and Turk racists) and you should stay there,f.u.c.k. eachother and others can live in peace, try to understand eachother and find common things for sharing.
