No, first we have to recognise the Armenian genocide to satisfy Sip. Then pay money to Tom Servo, then give eastern Turkey to Anonymouse.

Yes it does. To forgive means that the wrong is made right and therefore, there is no longer a wrong. There's a difference between "forgive" and "moving on".

That isn't how I understand forgive. Call it moving on. It is the concept, more than the word that I'm talking about. I'm just offering some advice that good for your health and happiness--you don't have to take it.

Always forgive your enemies--nothing annoys them more.--Oscar Wilde

Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.--John F. Kennedy

Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heal that has crushed it.--Mark Twain

To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness.--Robert Muller

To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.--Lewis Smedes

Ah. So, now with this new understanding, the question can be rephrased, will the Armenians move on? AND, by doing that, we let the Turks win by just letting it go and okaying all they have done, and THAT action is simply one I cannot forgive.

maybe turks can admit genocide and recognize but i don't think they'll give any $$$ or lands..they're fighting/occupying anatolia hundreds of years. if we compare Turkish-Armenian population it's almost impossible.
Can 3.000.000 populated Armenia really get any size of land from 80.000.000 Populated Turkey? After all, there are 30.000.000 Kurdish people in that 80.000.000...

No. I am saying that by not forgiving (internally, in your own mind), you are killing yourself slowly. That is genocide ongoing. Why let the vile act continue to kill Armenians one by one, from within?

"We often think of forgiveness as something that someone who has done us wrong must ask of US. There is always another way of looking at something. My thoughts on forgiveness suggest that you focus on offering forgiveness TO the person who has wronged you. To not forgive them is like taking the poison (continuing to suffer for what they did or didn't do to you) and expecting THEM to die!

Alexander Pope once said, "To err is human; to forgive, Divine." Believe it!

Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself. It is not something you do FOR someone else. It is not complicated. It is simple. Simply identify the situation to be forgiven and ask yourself: "Am I willing to waste my energy further on this matter?" If the answer is "No," then that's it! All is forgiven.

Forgiveness is an act of the imagination. It dares you to imagine a better future, one that is based on the blessed possibility that your hurt will not be the final word on the matter. It challenges you to give up your destructive thoughts about the situation and to believe in the possibility of a better future. It builds confidence that you can survive the pain and grow from it.

Telling someone is a bonus! It is not necessary for forgiveness to begin the process that heals the hurt. Forgiveness has little or nothing to do with another person because forgiveness is an internal matter..."

Anahita, you really need to answer Quartaria's question...but I would understand why you wouldn't - you lose either way:
If you say "yes I forgive them", than you look like a stupid a s s hole. If you say "no I don't" forgive them, than you look like a hypocrite.

                    Again - just go away

And to satisfy me, you can take my right hand, wrap it around your neck and choke yourself.
