What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Re: Watertown Armenians in arow over ADL's anti-genocide stance

Well, Siamanto, we are both kind of right about the International Herald Tribune.

It appears to be a European affiliate of the New York Times edited in Paris. Thus, it would be fair to call it a French Newspaper, almost. It certainly is a European newspaper. But, there is no European state per se, yes, yes, European Union. Yet, France still remains and the Atlantic edition is originating from Paris. Hence, French newspaper.

I think the real story here is that our so-called American-Armenian leaders are unable to control the message in media channels. Even as Foxman reveals his ugliness, over and over again, with actions and words, he has the ability to control the spin despite all the firepower he has provided the American media to help dig his figurative death as a viable American J-ewish leader.

The only national lobby leader to speak is Mr. Hamparian and it is more often than not in an 'also ran' position.

See, those people (read: HOLOCAUST denying revisionists) out there that are like these J-ewish lobbyists reluctant to recognize historical fact of an ethnic or religious community being exterminated by a state actor are unable to deny the Holocaust in some European nations. Its a crime. As lobbying organizations like the ADL, AJC, etc. and similar to them have lobbied these nations to recognize the Holocaust at a political level. (And, no, I am not disputing that there was a Holocaust)

These organizations were not concerned of negative backlash that would occur to their constituents upon Holocast recognition.

In fact, they used the word Holocaust that was coined after the Nazi atrocities were committed for political purposes. They've engraved the word into the history books. There can be no debate.

Meanwhile, they twist words, distort truth, obfuscate the obvious and basically lie when it comes to the recognition of the Armenian genocide.

They use ingenious, disingenuous, falsehoods created by Nobel Peace prize winner Elie Weasel to almost call the genocide a genocide except for the fact that the word didn't exist when Turkey acted so horrificly.

Mr. Weasel created the word Holocaust. Based on his screwy, meshuggne logic, the Nazi's crimes of humanity against the J-ews wasn't really a HOLOCAUST because the word didn't exist as he created the word after the Nazi regime crumbled.

These J-ewish leaders will even disrespect esteemed individuals like Mr. Lemkin, the J-ewish lawyer who created the word Genocide based on the Armenian tragedy to preserve the political strength they gained on the J-ewish people we cannot bring back.

They won't feed you, but they'll eat you.

They tell us to debate it with the Turks.

Umm, if they are afraid of what would happen to Turkish J-ews if the U.S. recognized the Armenian genocide, what do you think happened if we had debates on the topic with turkish historians. They aren't concerned about revenge.

They are worried of losing the conch shell, of being pushed off the stage, of losing the juice.

Heck, they have no regard for the J-ewish community in Armenia.

Did the AJC, ADL, JINSA or B'nai B'irth take the Armenian J-ewish community's message for genocide recognition to members of the U.S. congress? No.

The head of the AJC WR claimed that they had no cooperation agreement with J-ews in Armenia. Do they have written agreements to represent every J-ew in America. No.

And, as evidenced by the Watertown pushback, they don't actually represent every J-ew in America. Some of them are far more reasonable, honest, ethical and moral than Mr. Foxman, Mr. Harris, etc.

You don't hear them feigning concern for the well-being of Armenian J-ews. Why is that? Because they can't gain politically by pretending to care about them.

They are insincere, they are hypocrits, they are bigots and they are liars.

Look no further than Hrant Dink. The AJC claims to be protectors of fundamental rights, they frequently issues press releases re: the well-being of dissident, oppressed journalists stuck in a undemocratic country but have they ever come to the defense of an Armenian journalist in Turkey, or a Turkish one for that matter.

When journalists were being prosecuted for anti-Turkishness, did any of these organizations make a peep. Did they come to the rescue, were they concerned for the loss of human life.

No, in fact, to the contrary, one or more of these organizations likely influenced Richard Lugar who has a minimal Turkish constituency in his Indiana district to stonewall a Congressional resolution re: condemning Hrant Dink's murder. Why, for fear that such a resolution would defame Turkish history.

Hey, truth is a defense to defamation and murder is a crime.

They tell us that the Armenian tragedy is still a matter for debate and no benefit will come by U.S. recognition of the GENOCIDE. Meanwhile they have made DARFUR a national issue and used Hollywood actors like George Clooney to give them cover and gather them influence.

They push Sudan divestment programs, sanctions on nations doing business with Sudan and government recognition of the Darfurian Tragedy as GENOCIDE.

And, we indulge them as we should because it is the right thing to do.

But, Darfur is a matter for debate. The Armenian Genocide is not. Yet, they controlled the platform, dominated the bully pulpit, and framed the message.

And our leaders demonstrate their impotence, incompetence and immaturity.

Where is GEORGE CLOONEY? What happened to NOT ON OUR WATCH. This is all dribble, distortion and spin conducted at the behest and delight of American J-ewish advocacy groups.

If they pound Darfur, the U.S. government will have no time, patience or resources to address the Armenian genocide. They hope to defeat the genocide bills by way of message attrition.

In this case, these organizations are as bad as the message they have endorsed.

It has revealed them for what they are in their hearts: GENOCIDE DENIERS.

Immoral, biased, power-hungry, anti-Armenian, GENOCIDE DENIERS.

They will act politically and contrary to historical fact in order to withhold the truth. All the while blabbing out of both sides of their mouth.

And, the media spreads their distorted message in an unequal fashion with little or no opposition, dissent or push back.

Turkey not delighted by American J-ewish lobby. Israel is conflicted and apparent direct intermediary between Turky and American J-ewish leaders.

(TV feed out of Netherlands reports that PM Erdogan is expected to meet with PM Olmert shortly concerning ADL's flip flop; Turkish Ambassador to Israel claims there is no historical or legal foundation to describing 1915 events as 'genocide'; Ambassador criticizes ADL's statement recognizing Armenian Genocide)

(European J-ewish newssource reports on anger in Turkish J-ewish community over ADL; Turkish j-ews don't believe that governments are the right venue for establishing truth about historical events [unless of course its about Holocaust recognition or Holocaust denial laws]; government claims that Armenians were killed because they chose to fight with Russia against the crumbling Ottoman Empire - gee, I didn't know Turkey exterminated Russians too; Turkish j-ews cannot understand how ADL and AJC came to recognize Armenian genocide, want to dissassociate themselves from American J-ews as they have always had Turkey's back; claim Foxman has committed an injustice to Holocaust victims and Turks)

(Turkish Foreign Minister condemns Foxman for claiming that Turkish J-ews would be endgangered by a change in policy of American J-ewish advocacy groups and claims that there is no reasons for Turkish J-ews to have concers as they are Turks; article discusses Israel-Turkish relations)

Re: Watertown Armenians in arow over ADL's anti-genocide stance

Crusader, my pleasure, you are welcome.

Before the update, have you noticed the current state of affairs.

Turkey and members of the Turkish J-ewish community have confirmed that Abe Foxman is indeed a liar.

Both government leaders and community members have stated that passing of US genocide recognition bills shall have no effect on Israel-Turkey relations and will not subject Turkish J-ews to any harm as the relation between these countries are strong and Turkish J-ews are Turks.

Confirmed: FOXMAN is a lying, genocide denier.

Where was ANCA and AAA in 2001 when the NO PLACE FOR HATE CAMPAIGN was spreading in towns throughout Mass. and the U.S. Sipping tea with their pinkies in the air on a park bench in Dupont Circle talking about the weather?

              Ok, now for the update.
              --------------------------

'The United States Government condemns the Burmese regime's arrest of Min Ko Naing, Ko Ko Gyi and several other pro-democracy activists on August 22nd for organizing peaceful demonstrations to express public concern about recent increases in the price ...

(US State Dept. briefing for 8/22/07 - US refers to Armenian tragedy insultingly in line with Turkey and Israel as the "1915 events", claims position 'unchanged', 'opposes Attempts to Make Political Determinations on Terminology of Tragedy' --> apparently Abe Foxman is in control of the government agenda also; U.S. does not recognize historical fact of Genocide and chooses to be on wrong side of history due to pre-determined political position)

(ADL's press release for 8/23/07 - supports efforts to bring Armenia and Turkey together to discuss 'differences'; Are Mr. Foxman and Mr. Levy smoking crack? Turkish historians who have recognized the Armenian Genocide as historical fact and voiced their opinions are afraid of jail and impending death [see below]; also notice how ADL press releases get into the flow of media but ANCA and AAA press releases are nowhere to be found)

(Exhibit 1: Tanker Akcam - ethnic Turk, historian, determined that facts support conclusion that Armenian tragedy is genocide, afraid of jail or death as a result of his written findings, fled Turkey for the U.S., still subject to intimidation on American soil - what the hell are the ADL and AJC talking about, there can be no debate, the Genocide is fact and the fact causes the Turkish government and turkish goons to intimidate, jail or kill those for reiterating the truth; see also Hrant Dink, oh and don't forget another ethnic Turk writer/Nobel prize winner for literature Orhan Pamuk)

It seems like the ADL and AJC actually want to repeat the bloodletting of Armenians and Turkish truthtellers not protect Turkish J-ews.

(Armenian weekly piece covering ADL controversy up to and slightly beyond Foxman's reversal on Genocide recognition stance)

(Foxman and Erdogan embrace at meeting in 2005; Peres is a GENOCIDE DENIER; different Turkish newssource references same telephone conference between Erdogan and Peres wherein Erdogan expressed 'deep disappointment' over Foxman's reversal on behalf of ADL; Peres reaffirms his past expressions of early 2001 re: Israel's refusal to recognize the genocide - and, so how exactly does the U.S. have moral authority to directly or indirectly through the U.N. dictate to other sovereign nations to stop doing business with Sudan when it does business with Israel, a country that, as a matter of political agenda, refuses to recognize that genocide was committed by its only other major trade partner Turkey; Turkey contends that there is no concensus amongst historians and scientists that Armenians suffered genocide at hands of Ottoman Turkey; Turkey confirms that Turkish J-ews are not in danger should U.S. officially recognize Armenian Genocide but claim doing so is unfair to Holocaust and its victims and they expect that any support of the Armenian allegations shall be corrected; article reiterates U.S. State Department's briefing on matter yesterday re: unchanged position on recognition by U.S. and refusal to make political determinations re: semantics; article points out that U.S. President George W. Bush 43 is also a GENOCIDE DENIER)

(Northern California J-ewish magazine republishes Jerusalem Post article by David Harris, Exec. Director of AJC re: Armenian Genocide which was identified as a AJC press release in some prior newspaper articles; apparently, at the political level, there should be debate about the Genocide but cannot be debate about the Holocaust; oh that's right, Mr. Harris is really endorsing the current bills before Congress re: official U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide; funny how although he is the Executive Director of the AJC, the AJC has issued no press release re: the ADL controversy)

(AJC's press release on 8/20/07 condeming American Muslim lobbyist organization's unflattering position of ADL; the press release is very telling on how the AJC thinks and works; claims ADL is a sister organization; claims CAIR is linked to radical organizations and unfit to act as civil rights organization; claims that CAIR cannot be a civil rights organization b/c it refuses to condemn those who act violently and endorses anti-semitism; alleges that CAIR does not represent the American Muslim community or Islam; contends that AJC has long history of promoting religious liberty of all people; argues that CAIR impedes on federal authorities attempts to stop the flow of money from U.S. to terrorist organizations; hmm, sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black to me)

(Editorial piece in New Jersey J-ewish newspaper calls out the ADL for blasting other organizations and individuals who have refused to do the 'right thing' as a result of politics; discusses how Beantown Brahmins gave Foxman and ADL the old heave-ho for being hypocrits and ADL's sudden about face on acknowledging Armenian Tragedy as Genocide; concludes that if the ADL is unable to extend lessons of Holocaust to acknowledge historical concensus of Armenian Genocide then politics trump truth and other J-ewish organizations must openly and notoriously acknowledge the Armenian genocide and teach their Turkish friends that truth must be basis of friendship as well as the ability to disagree; so, that means that Turkey can't endorse murder or actively imprison those who offend their Turkishness, right???)

(Belmont, Mass. newspaper reports that Belmont Town Council has refused to disassociate with ADL's NO PLACE FOR HATE program; article rehashes buildup to most recent events by ADL and Foxman in New England and nationally to repair damage caused by Watertown beatdown; article details conflicting viewpoints expressed by Belmont citizens and town councilmembers including statments by U.S. congressional leaders from Mass. and State representatives)

(London based J-ewish newspaper publishes article on how ADL controversy has raised debate on Armenian genocide; discusses conflicting views on Armenian genocide recognition and overt acts of acknowledgement in J-ewish community in Britain)

Re: Watertown Armenians in arow over ADL's anti-genocide stance

                  And the beat goes on...

(Branch of NY Times that works with International Herald Tribune publishes article full of loathing for Mr. Foxman and his hypocritical ways; describes him as morally aloof, ethically conflicted, a "menace to his own legacy"; points out other egregious acts by ADL chief; identifies ADL as mercenary for Turkish government in fight to oppose U.S. Congressional recognition of Armenian Genocide; concludes that there is a historical concensus that the 1915 events are in fact genocide; deduces that debate is not about history but about politics; blasts Foxman as cowardly propagandist; identifies bigotry of Foxman's conflicting positions re: handling of Armenian Genocide recognition and Ahmadinejad's Holocaust symposium; clarifies that ADL was responsible for recognition of genocide in Darfur region of Sudan; curious to know how Foxman would act if Sudan and Israel were politically incestuous; magnifies Foxman's hypocrisy through Brahmin lens in Beantown and the Watertown Beatdown; firmly states that Foxman's statement on Tuesday was without integrity; calls Foxman disingenuous; identifies that J-ewish unity has nothing to do with confirming historical fact over falsehoods; invokes Morgenthau's ghost [god bless that lil mamser] and Mr. Morgenthau's legacy of "bearing witness and acknowledging inconvenient truths"; identifies word 'tantamount' as a weasel word; the Washington D.C. writer concludes that Foxman's time to depart is long overdue; I concur whole-heartedly Mr. Goldstein - your vision is crystal clear)

(same paper publishes original article on recent pressure exerted on Israel by Turkey as detailed in earlier Turkish press reports; meeting between Gul and Avivi became heated with expressions of Ankara's grave disappointment; rehashes ADL's reversal on genocide position and belief that Israel could have helped to prevent ADL's corrective measures; reports that Israel's focus is calming situation; states that discussions between Turkish President, Prime Minister and Israeli PM are pending)

(Canadian historian discusses recent ADL controversy and confirms that there is a historical concensus that Armenians are genocide victims and that American J-ewish advocacy groups have no business bringing politics into the matter of U.S. Congressional recognition)

Re: Watertown Armenians in arow over ADL's anti-genocide stance

When will the American J-ewish community kick Foxman and his kishka to the curb because he lacks sechel, is soft in the kop and his emunah re: the lack of need for political recogniton of the Armenian genocide is unreasonable. He's just a yutz. Merely, a Turkish golem.

(Michael Levenson with the help of Keith O'Brien keeps Boston Globe on the story; recaps ADL's 8/23/07 reiterating need for Armenians and Turks to debate 1915 events via far-fangled Genocide Commission; also rehashes Turkey's disappointment and recent actions to reverse any damage to their opposition to U.S. Genocide recognition bills that may have been caused by ADL's unfortunate reversal on its position re: genocide recognition; covers Turkey's position that ADL statment did injustice to rememberance of Holocaust and its victims; includes statments from ANCA's Aram Hamparian and Beantown area Armenians re: recent events at home and abroad originating from ADL controversy)
