ARMENIAN, CHINESE DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTERS DISCUSS POSSIBILITIES OF
POLITICAL DIALOGUE OVER TOPICAL INTERNATIONAL PROBLEMS
YEREVAN, August 8. /ARKA/. RA Deputy Foreign Minister Arman
Kirakosyan and Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Chao Zhunhuai
discussed the possibilities of a political dialogue over topical
international problems. The sides pointed out the recently
established tradition of holding regular bilateral meetings at
various levels. Zhunhuai presented his country's foreign-policy
priorities, relations with the countries of the region, China's
approaches to the UN reforms. Speaking of the debate over the
enlargement of the UN Security Council, Zhunhuai pointed out that his
country is viewing the problem as part of reforms of the UN as a
common structure. In his turn, the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister
pointed out the necessity of the principle of agreements,
particularly overt global issues, such as the enlargement of the UN
Security Council. Kirakosyan also outlined regional developments,
Armenia's relations with its neighbours, as well as the
Nagorno-Karabakh settlement. P.T. -0--
