Yes, President Wilson was a great President; a man with a true golden heart. A just man indeed! Truly a brother to the Christians and the Armenians!!!

Why can't we have more presidents like President Wilson?

Indeed Anoush jan. It seems that for the last 20 years or so the presidents of the US are just paying lip service before the elections. Obama just joined the club of those canvassing for Armenian votes during their campaign and then beating about the bush afterwards.

Not sure about lip service, but I wouldn't mind giving G.W. aBush and his cronies a fat lip, lol. Obama is pretty powerless after inheriting the mess the last couple presidencies left behind. It's impossible to change course when the ship is already sinking. America's policy on Armenia is to give a medal of honour to some Armenian-American and behind closed doors pull the rug out from underneath the people of Armenia.

I know Kanada jan, Bush has done some awful things to our cause and also the one before him like Bill Clinton and George Bush the father too.

Do you think though that the Armenia's president has tried to mend things behind closed doors?

You know, American style politics just isn't helpful for countries as small as Armenia. Changing direction and goals every so often defeats the purpose of consistent growth. The country needs to adopt stable policies that allow the people to plan their future so they aren't always second guessing what's going to happen to them everytime a different party takes power. Their foreign policy with Turkey should remain neutral and embark on FAIR trade. Economically, both countries can benefit from trade but that is as far as the relationship should go. Turkey is too large of a state and population for Armenia to be opening borders and not expect to lose their autonomy or sovereignty.

I agree! For instance, the US for long had corruption, yet the same corruption for a landlocked, small country like ours who just started only 18 years ago her freedom; it is much more hazardous for both the country and the people. Even though the US' corruption didn't affect the country till recently, but look what happened. As huge, as powerful and as a great industrial rich country as the US used to be, but the people (and we know which people within the US' domain) who stole both from the country, the stock market and abused it, the US now is pretty much sinking economically.

I have stated the same as far as the opening of the borders that it will be terrible for our little bit of Armenia. First off, the people are civilized and Christians, they are not like the Muslim turks who beget several children per family. The turks in time will come and take over that little bit of land that we have. We will therefore lose our autonomy or sorereignty. Yes RA should have neutral relationship and have fair trade with turkey, but not anymore than that. I hope that Serzh will see the light, be brave and smart enough not to give in any more than that and will stay on his ground. He also has to play great diplomacy, both with the US, the Russians and the turks, but he has to stay firmly on his ground for Armenia's sake.

Well the fact is that the United States has destroyed itself and its image. When WW2 ended, everyone hoped and expected with people like Roosevelt and Truman that there would be a new dawn, and all the problems of the world would simply fade away through the power of their oratory. That as we know today did not happen.

Lobby groups and others corrupted the system, soon it wasn't just corporations from the United States running the show, but foreign interest groups as well. Suddenly an independent foreign policy became hijacked by Israeli nationalists, and genocide deniers, oppressive dictators, and the fear of communism, and the United States changed forever.

Suddenly the United States was no longer a country forging its own destiny, nor one supporting democracy and the human rights. Even the United Nations, set up to support democracy and peace has failed, and become a bitter parody of what it was set up to achieve.

It may be only a matter of time till the United States collapses, but it won't be the Americans people's fault, it will be the interest groups from places like Azerbaijan or Turkey and extremists that drag the US down. Hopefully the US situation politically will get better after Obama but you can never be sure. The US does kinda seem on the rocks right now, which isn't exactly a good thing when you look at the countries that would be set to replace her.

Exactly, until official denial is admitted, I see no point in becoming "friends" with a government that is still being hostile towards our cause. Shame on the Armenian government if they cave in on the issue because bigger powers are sweetening the deal.

Even if they do cave in, the Azeri and Turkish demands are so outrageous they wouldn't last, and would be overturned soon enough.

I would also like to have hope in our people of the Republic. Meaning even if Serzh and that Edward Nalbandyan do a stupid thing and admit to the azeris, the turks' and the super powers' overtures; I have faith in the nationalists in Armenia as well as Dashnaktsoutyun that they will undoutedly not allow anyone or anyone government of the Republic to play hazardous games with our enemies. That much I am hopeful of our people in the Republic, if not from the government of Armenia.
